Welcome to the site Kevin. Congrats on a great decision. I dig that your first post speaks of helping others. Wow. Pretty cool, but listen......

there will be plenty of time for that down the road. Right now you need to be thinking about number one. You are in a fight for your life. Quitting is not easy, but it is possible.

Homework. Find out what it means to post roll. Get your name on there the minute you wake up each day.

Holler if you need anything. Keep this intro updated. Tell us how your doing. There is an army of quitters waiting in the wings to offer support.
^^^^^^ Gospel.

The big thing for me was not getting in the mindset of "quit forever" too soon. Early in a quit, that is a daunting task that not many can get their heads wrapped around. That's the whole premise of the site. Anybody can manage to quit for one day, though. Post your promise on Roll Call, honor that promise for 24 hours, rinse  repeat.

Welcome, and I'll see you here again tomorrow.

Good choice Kevin. Read up in the welcome center. Post roll, drink water, use seeds, gum, fake, candy anything you need to stay quit. Then make some friends in April, exchange numbers and help each other stay quit. If you ever need anything shoot me a pm.
Welcome Kevin!

Head over to April 15, post up and introduce yourself.

My intro,from Alabama
« on: January 05, 2015, 08:44:00 PM »
Yesterday at 10am I decided on a whim to quit chewing tobacco. I started using chewing tobacco about 18 years ago after a divorce and have continued ever since. I have attempted to quit various times over the years but always failed. I'm proud to say I've been almost 34 hours without and I'm committed and determined to stay free from now on.

I look forward to becoming an active member here and hopefully be able to help others quit down the road.
