Hey everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself to this support group. I am 22 years old and currently live in Pittsburgh. I am finishing up my degree in Economics this semester. I have been chewing since I was 14, and have been gradually chewing more up until now. I currently chew probaly a can every 1.5 days. My main reasons for quitting chewing are to prove to myself I can do this, for my family, and for my health. I am pretty sick of having a tin can basically control my life. I quit last night at midnight, so I am 22 hours in to this battle. I feel decent, just a little bit foggy. Tomorrow will be a big test, as I have to drive an hour to school (major trigger for me). I hope to get to know you guys and we can help support each other in times of need.
Welcome brother!
Read, read, read, read, read. And then when you're done read some more. Everything you need for a succesful Quit is on this site.
Get a plan together.
Post roll every day.
Reach out for help when you need it.
Take it one day at a time.
You're an addict to nicotine and can never have "just one".
Just when you think you have it all under control is when you will cave.
You're a young man just starting your journey through life, which is hard enough without being a slave to a can and slowly poisoning your body until you die a horrible death.
PM me if I can be of any help.
