Thanks Rob,

I am still trying to figure the hole site out, but I have be dipping since I was 15 year old. That 15 years for me..... I play baseball in HS and thought it was cool. Being from the south everyone I knew dipped are smoke. I hated the taste of smoking...

At the age of 19 I joined the United States Marine Corps, and for 3 month I was clean from the nic and never want it again, but of all the people in the world, my mom gave me a can the moment we left the recruit depot...

My main reason to quit is for my health. I saw my father die to young from cancer that came from smoking his hole life... I just dont want my son to go through that.

My wife is behind me 100%, and she turned me on to this site a month ago... I had quit right after my dad die, but it did not last that long. On my wife's birthday in June, I gave her the last can I will ever dip It was empty of course, dont trust a full can in my house.... but now its been 52 days sine June 14th and I have been poking around this site, and reading as much as I can to remember why not to dip...

Thank you for you support and if I need more I will pm you if that ok....

Steve

Hello… I am Steve… I have quit for 52 day today, and it’s been hard.. I hear story that people quit because of a love one. Well my dad passed away 1 ½ ago of pancreatic cancer, mostly cause from smoking, but did I quit no… However, I have a 19 month old son and I want to live pass 55 (unlike my dad) well until I am 99. The can will not kill me today, tomorrow, or ever…..
Steve - you are well on your way at 52 days. NOW don't fall for the "see you can quit, so one more dip, or can". It will sneak up on you. Get connected with a group. Read up on this site. If you want to join a group, I'd say at 52 days, you'd be in the Sept group with me. If you decide to post in there, I'd also suggest that you post info about how you got started, how your quits been going, what your plan is to stay quit. If you want the brothers and sisters to be there for you, give us an idea what kind of man you are.

Once you post for a day, you've promised to stay clean that day. No NIC at all. No patch, no dip, no cig, no licking ash trash, nothing... Keep your word.

If you want a connection, PM me and I'll shoot you my cell number.

Glad to know you are looking at the site and doing so well.

Rob
