Thanks to everyone who replied.  It always helps to get a kick in the nuts sometimes to see the true path.

I was in a difficult time, most of you would understand that quitting makes things seem incredibly hard.  I am glad to know others are out that have been through the same situations and understand.

I would have to say from seeing the posts,  I had since dropped everything and I have destroyed at least a hundred pens because of it.

I found this page (link below) that really showed the true colors, in my eyes, of my addiction and it really helped to step back and realize what I was doing when I dipped and why I should quit.

http://www.killthecan.org/facts/100benefits.asp

I definitely feel a reprieve from the addiction.  I am still amazed at how a drug could make someone do such interesting things.

Thanks again for all the advice and the support.
Are you quit? You joined in march, dont see a quit then if I missed it I'm sorry. If not are you here to quit?
Good catch there WT.

2 posts in a month? Must be some secret program that I'm not privy to here at KTC. I'm afraid my membership level requires daily posting and commitment.

Fuck. If I just had that "post once a month" coupon when I signed up...
Yes, good catch. I KNOW how you feel. We post a promise everyday. Do you know how accountability feels?

Dump the can and the nic gum. Get the nic out of your system.
Find anything else that helps you get through, seeds, fireballs, altoids, whatever.
Increase you exercise, reach out to other quitters, do whatever it takes to stay quit.
You can do this. KTC and everyone here can help.
Fish, eat, sleep. Repeat.

Just wanted to ask a question for some who went through withdrawals.  I am very stressed out because of my business and see myself chasing after the buzz, or keeping my sanity, with coffee and nicotine gum.  Does any one have advise on how to deal with stress and anxiety without being overwhelmed with the urge to chew but use different avenues to satisfy the urge? Thanks.
Here is whee you can find non-tobacco alternatives

Like everyone is telling you - quit already- find an exercise program as soon as possible -to help deal with the stress-

It's a life changer and I'm only on day 78 after 35 years of polluting by body

Yeah makes a ton of sense to use nicotine gum if you're trying to quit nicotine.

We're cold turkey. Come on now. You a strong dude? You want quit? You gotta fight for it. Seeds. Hot balls. Gum. Jerky. Anything but cancer candy.
What Souli said....using nic to quit nic?? Quit already. Every one of the bad ass quiters in KTC have tough jobs, demands at home, problems at home, deaths in families, etc. You are not a special butterfly. As for stress, start exercising. Go for a minimum 40 minute walk/jog/bike ride. This will increase the production of seratonin and other chemicals in the brain that give you a natural high and make your brain stronger to handle the quit. Drink lots of water throughout the day. And, oh yeah, quit the nic already. Use seeds, tooth picks whatever.
In the mid 70s, Walt Garrison said it was okay. Just a pinch between your cheek and gums. Been a slave since until joining this fine group.

Quit 12:00 pm (noon) October 15, 2011 after 34 years.
HOF January 23, 2012

It's not how many times you get knocked down, but how many times you get back up that matters.

Well here is the deal with KTC, we are basically a cold turkey program, we don't utilize nicotine replacement therapy such as nicorette gum.

We come in each day and promise to our brothers that we will remain quit for the rest of the day, the next day we come and do the same thing.

People come in here and bust balls, they go in the chat and talk about the issues they are having, they call fellow quit group members and ask for help. We remain quit one day at a time.

We have milestones, the biggest and the first is reaching 100 days quit without NRT, this is called the Hall of Fame, the time when you reach HOF is your quit group so if you stopped all nicotine today you would be in the June 2012 group.

When in your group you post roll call, this is your promise to quit today, tomorrow you come in and repeat. Remember, we are addicts, we a junkies to nicotine, it takes a strong will and assistance or accountability to stay quit.

Here is the welcome center

Here is how to post roll call

Here is the June quit group

Welcome to our group, if you buy into the program it can save your life.

Stay quit my friend.
