Good Morning All,
Well I am on day #6 of my quit today and starting to feel a bit better. I have to say that yesterday was almost as tough on me as day 2 but it is starting to feel much more mental already. I really appreciate all of your support and texts throughout the day. I found this KTC site a couple years ago but just never really committed myself to giving up the stuff. I have been dipping for about 32 years and I believe the longest I ever left the stuff was about 12 days for a trip to Europe a few years ago. I just hated how short I would get with my family and how my concentration seemed gone without the nicotine flowing through my bloodstream. My wife to this day really doesnt believe that I am quiting because of the all the lies and "give-ups" through the year so I really cant blame her for doubting me but Ive told her how much more organized the "quit" is when you have this site and everyone holding each other accountable etc..
The final straw that pushed me over the edge was a couple of weeks back my 23 year old son comes in my office when I was not home and steals my new sleeve of Cope out of my briefcase. He leaves a note in it's place that just said "You will thank me some day Dad"...
I just couldnt believe that after all these years he was still willing to stay persistant and continue to nudge me to quit. (along with throwing out $35.00 worth of my stash!).. Anyway...Thanks for listening and next week will probably be the worst for me as I have to get back to traveling for work. SO you all know what that means.. Plenty of gasoline fill-ups for my truck and I will do my very best to stay outside at the pumps and fill up and go....Again I appreciate all of your support and texts etc..The Quit is On...!
Thanks,
Nathan (Hoosierswin)
Sounds like you are a great father, because it sure sounds like youvecraised a great son. That says a lot about you.
The first week is pretty miserable. Doesn’t it feel great to know you’ll never have to relive those days ever, ever again? F big tobacco bro. Your relationship with your family will benefit from your quit more than you can imagine. Anytime the craves hit hard, tell your wife that a sweaty and noisy bedroom cardio session will help you succeed. Some guy on the quit website suggested it...
You are killing it bro. If you need anything or another number, shoot me a pm. This website saved my life. And it made it worth living again. Glad you are here.
