Still waiting to see you on roll Squatch.
Still waiting, Squatch. You're going to have ditch those excuses along with the can. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to post roll in your respective quit group. You were able to find to the introduction section and make some posts just fine.  You want to continue enslaving yourself, ruining your health, and spending a fortune to do so?

Okay Squatch,

This is how it works here.  We post roll (Make our promise to ourselves, our fellow quitters and God Almighty to abstain from nicotine for the 24 hours) shortly after waking up every morning.  This takes nicotine off the table for the day.  We do whatever it takes to keep that promise and then we come back here the next morning and do it all over again.

Coming in here at the end of the day to post roll does nothing for you and really pisses most of us in here off.  You said you've been a long time lurker so you should have picked up this fact by now.

W.U.P.P. (Wake Up, Piss, Post) is the mantra used here.  If you really want to quit, then you need to be in here quitting.  Post your roll in the morning, then later in the day when you have a few minutes, come back in here and read some posts, exchange some digits with other quitters, learn about your quit group and what the HOF Train is.  Visit other groups and topics.  You need to invest the time to quit just like you invest the time to feed your face with a cancerous dead plant in a can.

RDB gave you the link to your group in his post above.  Use it and post roll, then keep your word and come back here every morning and make your promise again.

If I seem hard or coming at you aggressively, well it is true, but it is also what you need because cottling your balls is going to do nothing for your quit.  I am only being hard towards your addict brain though.  It is nothing personal against you, I don't even know you, but I do know your addict brain because it is the same as mine and everyone else in here.  It is always trying to find excuses to go back to the can.

Make the right choice and keep your promise.

Chris

Look for the heading "Quit Groups", and "Pre-HOF Quit Groups". Just below Introductions. You are in the July 2019 Pre-HOF Quit Group.

You got the first part of the KTC plan down.   Post Roll.   Great work.   And it seems like you don’t just want to stop dipping, you want to change your life.   So now there isn’t much to it other than being prepared to grind everyday.   Your addict self will come up with all kinds of bullish to get you to cave...Realize it for what it is...bullshit.   Quitting is hard work!   Prepare yourself, and get after it.   You can do it!

Welcome.

Sounds as if you are fairly familiar with how things work around here.

I want to correct just one thing. This is not a habit. It is an addiction, and recognizing the difference will do you well as you attack it.

Make your promise. Keep your promise. Exchange digits (phone numbers) with a few guys in your group, and a few vets. Mine are a PM away.

Looking forward to seeing you on roll.

Squatch on the loose

Hey all,
I’ve been a long time lurker of this site and have broken many promises to quit. I’ll keep it short but for over a decade I’ve had a can on me. The shit has become a part of my identity from growing up on a farm to world traveling in the military. The wife and I welcomed our son into the world last year and I’ve Made the promise to quit nearly every month since. He’s started watching what I do and I don’t want him to pick up dad’s bad habits. I’ll see ya’ll at roll tomorrow.
