I was a cope long cut dipper for the most part, with a little grizzly wintergreen thrown in here and there. Smokey Mountain wintergreen and straight have been the best for me. I also really like the teaza pouches, and while it is nothing like real dip it does satisfy the oral fix and helps with the cravings. The fire and the banging black cherry bomb are my favorites so far.

Agree... absolutely LOVE Banging Black Cherry - SO good!

Thanks everyone for your replies, I’m so grateful! My husband is really liking Smokey Mountain Classic, and I also ordered him some Hooch to try. He’s been quit for 8 days and the fake stuff really seems to be helping, more so than sunflower seeds and gum (which are usually his go to quit aids). I will try and convince him to join the site... I really wish he would.

Thanks to all of you!

Candidly, Cope is a tough one to find a good alt for. I was a Kodiak Wintergreen guy so take my recommendations with a grain of salt, but I'd point you to these as a starting point:

Hooch (Classic or Spitfire)
www.killthecan.org/hooch-snuff-review/
www.killthecan.org/hooch-snuff-rough-cut-review/

Triumph Classic (non-nicotine version)
www.killthecan.org/triumph-chew-review-tobacco-free-herbal-chew/

There are a couple of coffee based products that I've heard some Cope users enjoy. Personally I didn't see the similarity to Cope but again I was a Kodiak guy:

Go Coffee Energy
www.killthecan.org/go-coffee-energy-review-a-cup-in-a-pinch/

Cowboy Coffee Chew
www.killthecan.org/cowboy-coffee-chew-major-league-coffee-dip-reviews/

And finally, if your'e looking for a pouch product:

Grinds Coffee Pouches
www.killthecan.org/grinds-coffee-pouches-review/

Sorry if this is more detail than you were looking for.

Hello, I hope it's okay that I'm posting here, I don't really know the rules. My husband has been struggling to quit chewing for many years, and has recently started again after having quit for 4 months. I'd like to get him an alternative to see if that would help him quit. He's tried Oregon Mint Snuff before but he didn't like it much. He didn't like the mint or the texture. He uses Copenhagen long cut, I was wondering if anyone that used to use Copenhagen long cut could share their favorite alternative? I saw the post with all of the reviews, but the sheer number of alternatives was overwhelming to me.

I apologize if this forum is not supposed to be for wives to post.. my husband does not like social networks of any form and unfortunately cannot reap the benefits of this site himself, but I have visited it many times over the years. Thank you for your time.
I dipped Copenhagen Long Cut for 21 years. I used a combination of Smokey Mountain and this site to quit. Hope this helps him.

I dipped Copenhagen for about 40 years, for me it was a lot of gum (dragon fruit Leeche of all things) and occasional Hooch Classic http://www.hoochsnuff.com  and like Croak, this site as well.

One thing that your husband needs to understand is that no fake dip is going to nearly satisfy him as much as the real stuff. As soon as I understood that, it made quitting a lot easier. Fake dip just helps with the oral fix, but it won't keep quitting from being a shitty experience (early on at least). Nevertheless, I used Jake's Mint Chew cinnamon flavor (it's organic and gives a nice burn) and Grinds coffee pouches for a few months early on. Now, I just use the occasional slice of raw ginger. It gives a good burn and lasts way longer than any fake dip I ever tried. It also doesn't have any questionable chemicals in it because it's an all-natural root. Even still, none of that would've mattered if I didn't find KTC. Tell your husband to join and buy in to the program, and he'll be able to quit, but only if he wants it.
