I saw that you posted roll call. You did good and made a wise decision. Welcome to KTC for real now. Membership here is voluntary, but we will expect a few things from you while you are here. We believe quitting is a two way street and we want to put you in the best possible position to succeed.
You might notice a couple equations we use a lot around here:
Accountability + Brotherhood = Success
1 Problem + Nicotine = 2 Problems
Remember those two equations. Put the first into action, and the other-- stamp it in your mind, say it over and over again, like a mantra. If you can do that, you can manage this nastiest of nasty addictions. I say 'manage' because we can never be cured. Tomorrow, or 10 years from now, if I put a dip in my mouth, the addiction returns in full force and fury, and I'm back to a can a day in quick order. The way to manage that is to break it down into manageable chunks of time. We quit one day at a time. We promise not to use nicotine TODAY- no matter what. We make our promise as early in the day as possible. You'll hear the acronym WUPP EDD a lot too. WUPP EDD stands for:
Wake Up,
Piss,
Post.
Every Damn Day.
We make our promise and keep our word every day. Our word is everything here! We find any and all means to get through the day without the nicotine. There are an infinite number of alternatives besides resorting to the deadly poison nicotine; we explore those alternatives here and we support our brothers as they support us.
Now, you can keep your anonymity, but how about you tell us a little more about yourself? Where you from in the world? Do you have any activities or hobbies?
