Last night I finished reading Allen’s Carr Easyway book.

You can get educated and temporarily motivated by a book, but no book is going to keep you quit. Accountability will. Simple?: Yes. Easy? No.
Don't be fooled by the title of that book, dude. Easyway? Shit, there is no easy way through a cold turkey nicotine quit. You said yourself you've been here before. If quitting was easy, you'd still be quit. Tom Hanks' character in A League of Their Own said it best: "It got too hard? It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it great." Not everyone has it in himself or herself to quit and stay quit. They are strong in hope but weak in will.

Here's one more movie quote to sum up the hardness of a real quit, from The Rock: "Your "best"! Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and f**k the prom queen."

We are glad you came to KTC. Do what it takes to stay here, ODAAT. Drink plenty of water to flush out the nic, and drink plenty of the KTC Kool-Aid to flood your system with badass quit juice!

@ChawDogs here is the link to your freedom https://ktcforum.org/index.php?topic=16725.0. You are in the January 2021 quit group. Recommend you exchange digits with your group members as well as a few vets on the site. Only exchange digits through personal messages and not on the forum or here in the Intro section. Only worry about quitting for today. We will deal with tomorrow when it gets here. You can do this and we are here to help. Reach out if I can help with anything.

Welcome ChawDogs and congrats on the best decision of your life, to quit nicotine!  I suggest you find the Jan 2021 group and post your name, daycount, and promise not to use nicotine for today...that is how we hold people accountable here, by their promise to their quit group.

Welcome to the collective! Start browsing and reading, so many good articles and posts.
Remove your clothes and send nudes so that we may study your afterbacco body image.

Just kidding, we are like minded people, with one thing in common, we are quitters.

Its easy once you get past the super hard part. :o
Why Ike, whatever do you mean? Maybe poker's just not your game. I know, let's have a spelling contest!

Day 1
« on: October 01, 2020, 11:51:23 AM »
Hey everyone,

First and foremost, thank you all for being here! I’m currently on day one (again). I’ve been chewing a can day since I was 18 and now 13 years later I’m finally ready to say goodbye to dip. Last night I finished reading Allen’s Carr Easyway book. So far so good, except the brain fog. Holy moly the brain fog. For me this is the worst part about quitting! With any luck it won’t last long.

Nothing else to report, just want to vent. Thank you all for welcoming me!
