So I am on day three and feeling pretty good, I have dipped for 14 years and it is time for that to come to end.
Good job. I'm on Day 3 as well. Let's walk the walk together in this Quit and kick that nasty ole hag right in the axe wound. Proud to be your quit brother.

So I am on day three and feeling pretty good, I have dipped for 14 years and it is time for that to come to end. I am actually worried about the holidays coming up when everyone will be having a good time and drinking away. I feel that will be the time I will want one the most.

Thanks to everyone on this site your words are motivation to all of us.
Stay strong. Make your promise first thing. Keep it. We all know it isn't going to be easy. But you can do it. Reach out of you need anything.

Welcome Brian! Good job on getting thru those rough first days.... Post roll, quit, repeat.... simple plan we got here, but it works wonders. As for Holiday drinking, if drinking makes you want a dip, don't drink. The most important thing you need to do each day is stay nicotine free. Study what may come up during each day that triggers a desire a use and then come up with a plan how to counteract that trigger. Please feel free to PM me if there is anything I can do to help.
With the holiday drinking here is my advice, ENJOY IT! However just like everything else have a plan. If u are drinking at home make sure no one brings dip in or talks about in front of you. I brought a few cans of fake stuff. That really helped. But make sure you have numbers of brothers for those tough times. I just sent you mine. You need anything ever, holler at me.
