Hey GA, awesome decision man. These next few days are going to be tough. First things first, dump everything. Flush it all down the toilet, smash the cans under your boot, take some rage out man! You don't do that shit anymore! I'm a senior in college, and smoked for a couple years and then dipped for another one.

Something to be careful about: many of us have had similar cancer scares, freaked out, promised to quit and then once we find out it's not cancer we go right back to it (because we're addicts and idiots, I guess). Don't do that. Take a minute to think of all the reasons you want to quit. Write it down, talk about it on here, go on KTC Chat, whatever you want. You'll realize that many of us are in the same boat.

I quit with you today, One Day At A Time.
Thanks man I already went and dumped anything that i had left as soon as I got home from class. Im keeping my spending cash with my brother so that unless I need to buy something he knows I wont be tempted to go down to the gas station. You're right about the cancer scares and just going right back to it. That's exactly what i did. It has been a constant cycle of fear, paranoia, finding out its nothing, then starting again and the cycle repeats itself. So far I have made it through a week since last Wednesday and then found this forum and I am so happy I did. Thank you for commenting it means a lot.

"Post roll. Post more if you want to. That's the beauty of the place: We ask you post roll. We ask you to be honest. That's all. No more. No less. Be there for your brothers and ask for help when you need it." - Wastepanel 10/6/14

"What would you do to save your own life? If you were fighting cancer today would you suffer through Chemo, surgeries, try new a therapy? change your diet, go to church? What intolerable hell would you endure to simply live. When you have thought long and hard about that, think on this. Why not apply that attitude to your quit. Suffer through the temporary discomfort of withdrawal to achieve your freedom from a slow painful demise via nicotine. Your in the ring already- fight like you mean it." - Skoal Monster 10/8/14

This is great to hear Ryan and welcome. I'm new as well and quit three days ago. Good to see you made the decision early in your life. Lets make our roll call!

Hey everyone, my name is Ryan and I am a freshman at NC State University. I have finally made the decision to quit dipping after almost 2 years. Literally every single one of my friends do it, the police i work with do it, the military i used to work with when I did Search and Rescue did it, and even my dad does it. I have already sat in the oral surgeons chair because of a recent cancer scare and have realized I have the rest of my life ahead of me and I dont need the can or bag as my best friend anymore.
