This is the introduction of me. I'm 24, and I have been a Slave to smoke-less for 9 years to the day. I quit smoking at age 20 to be a Volunteer Fire Fighter. But from the stressful environment, I have found my way to smoke-less tobacco out of lungs out of mind.. Recently, found out that I have gum disease. My 2nd chance to quit is apon me. My name is Jeff and I am going to quit. I need to do this so I don't have anything holding me back to my habbits.
Hi Jeff.
Have you ever seen a picture of a cancer patient smoking a cigarette after a chemo treatment? You have to quit because you want to quit, not because you have gum disease. Quit because you want to be quit.
You have to commit to your quit no matter where the stress comes from, or how bad it is. Now that I'm 59 days quit, my life has a lot less stress. No more hiding it from people. No more mentally mapping out when I get my next fix.
Find the quit groups here in the forums. Find the June 2016 pre HOF Group. That's your group of quit brothers. Make a promise to them to quit for the day. Make the same promise tomorrow, and every day after that. Then stay quit. It's that simple. It's not easy, but it is simple.
Have you dumped your cans into the toilet? Do that. Then rinse the can so you can't scrape it out. I'll quit with you.
