Forest,

You can do this. Read everything you can. Click on the Killthecan.org link above and read the Tom and Jenny Kern story. When I needed motivation to stay quit, I pulled this site up on my phone and read their story. The part where his daughters were pleading "please daddy don't go" as he took his last breath...that was more than enough to remind me I was sick of nicotine.

You'll have physical withdrawals early on. Turn the tables on the Nic Bithc. Learn to enjoy them. The Fog is a privilege that badass quitters GET to go through. Withdrawals are the feeling of earning your freedom.

I don't have any tricks or shortcuts for you. Everybody must go through this in order to be quit. But you're in the right place, brother. Every last person here has been, or is going through, what you're feeling right now. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

Forest, today is my first day being dip free. i waited until i got my cans of bacc off in. i'm 41 and have been dipping since i was 15. i went through about 1/2 can a day. it sucks quitting but i know it is the right move for me and my family. this bacc off stuff isn't the greatest but it will work when i have a nasty craving. hopefully at some point i won't be using anything. i've tried quitting countless times but always ending coming back. hopefully this time will be different because i know that i can't even slip a little. i've made that mistake before and end up right back on the shit. good luck to you and i wish you well. it's a bitch but you can do it.

we are here with you Forest - get involved in the site as much as you can, it will distract you and help keep you accountable to your new brothers.

Forest, you can do this.

We know this because we know you. You are an addict just like us.

This is not terribly difficult. Simply post your promise each day that you will not have any nicotine in any form. Keep your promise. Repeat the next morning.

You have to want this. You have to be done with this crap.

Head on over to the February 2013 group and post your promise.

Read. Connect with other quitters. Drink water. Exercise. Embrace the suck.

Stay quit.

I'm quit with you today.

Make sure you go to the February 13 and post roll. February is when you will reach 100 days. Our daily promise is what makes this quit work. Freedom is wonderful.

« on: November 03, 2012, 08:29:00 PM »
Hi everyone. My name is Forest Sills. i live in Las Vegas, nv and i am the huband to a very beautiful women and the father to the best boy a dad could have. i am 31 years old and have been chewing since i was 9 years old. starting with beechnut then skoal then copenhagen longcut for most of that time and then to grizzly and goddammit im done with this shit. im tired of having spitters all over the house, stained teeth, bleeding and receeding gums. im finding it really hard to remember what i like about dipping other then the fact that i have a huge dent in my lip that fits a pinch just right. for the past 15 years ive chewed between a can and half and two cans per pay. shit, someone please do the math and tell me how rich i could have been. my inner lip by noon looks like raised corn beds and is bleeding and on fire. like i said before im done, im fucking done. HAHA its been like 3 hours since i flushed my last can down the toilet and my head is all fucked up right now. i got the fog/haze stuff going on. im really glad there are forums and people out here like you all to help .
if i had to do it on my own i know i would fail.

Im killing this can
