If it really sucks, you're doing it right! Post roll everyday and keep your word.

Like running a marathon...you just keep on picking them up and putting them down. Pretty soon you look back and say, "I'll be damned...I ran 26.2 miles." Of course, unlike a marathon, there is no finish line.

So embrace the suck, post roll and stay quit and enjoy your new nic free life.

And to just save you some trouble, smoking is not allowed here as a way of quitting dip either.  No nicotine, no patches, no gum...cold turkey is how we roll...
Many thanks for the note. No trouble saved -- I like my turkey cold!
Fuck Yeah!

I’m disappointed.  I’m pissed.  I’m ready.

Let me explain:

I have run marathons, competed in amateur boxing, climbed mountains, started my own business … yet I have been a walking contradiction as a raging nicotine addict for +20 years through all these “highs” in life.  It’s flat out pathetic that I can mentor others about how there is “no free lunch” in life and one creates his own luck by way of hard work and discipline and then minutes later run out to the convenient store to replace the tin I dumped in the morning that was supposed to be “the last one”.

And then the iteration of illusions continues – I’ll wait for New Years, the dentist says your gums are in good shape, I’ll just dip/smoke when I drink, smokeless tobacco has not proven to cause cancer etc.  It’s all BS!

K Bear Wintergreen has been the primary weapon of choice.  However, if I was not dipping, I was smoking.  I would always go back to the Bear.  I have grappled with the Bear and quit for short durations of will power and then always became a victim of “I’ll just have one” trap (typically when wasted).

It’s time for me to man up and take responsibility for this addiction once and for all.  The accountability, personal sharing and encouragement of this organization has already helped me on my path to quitting for good.

I’m disappointed.  I’m pissed.  I’m ready.

IÂ’m fÂ’n done!

Day 12
This is the best decision of your life. The site is full of people just like you. Nic addicts who have been giving in for years and years. You got this one day at a time. Congratulate yourself nightly on being quit for another day.
Jmadden, one year ago I was you. I could no longer find anything positive about dip or chew. I was mad. I QUIT.

This, my friend, is the best intro I've seen in a while because it reminds me of me. I control all other aspects of my life, hold myself to a higher standard of societal engagement, and expect others to do their part. Yet I sucked on cancer wads for 19 years. WTH?! Use that anger to your advantage. Focus it all on UST and what they have done to us for so long.

Stay pissed. Stay ready. Stay f'n done!
