Headaches, shits ,blurred vision, constipation, confusion, nothing new man we've all been there! 140 days later never been happier! I'm with you brother, damn proud to be quit with you!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Maybe 30IsEnuff was right. Do we have a one  done here? Where did ya go, swimguy?
Nah.

Swim guy posted roll and is srruggling. He's not feeling good, but there is a small price to pay in quitting. He's doing it. Pain is temporary. Quit is forever.
In the end I Surrender, I and I alone accept that I have and always will have a Nicotene ADDICTION. It is my choice to quit, but I can't do it alone. I get to go down this path one time, I want to do it right. I recognize that my word, my integrety to you is on the line and is only as good as my actions. Caving is not an option in this plan-Eafman 7/11

I am not cured. I will quit one day at a time. I will continue to do what works. Posting roll everyday. To do otherwise would be foolish on my part. You can do this-Ready 12/11

"Post roll. Post more if you want to. That's the beauty of the place: We ask you post roll. We ask you to be honest. That's all. No more. No less. Be there for your brothers and ask for help when you need it." - Wastepanel 10/6/14

"What would you do to save your own life? If you were fighting cancer today would you suffer through Chemo, surgeries, try new a therapy? change your diet, go to church? What intolerable hell would you endure to simply live. When you have thought long and hard about that, think on this. Why not apply that attitude to your quit. Suffer through the temporary discomfort of withdrawal to achieve your freedom from a slow painful demise via nicotine. Your in the ring already- fight like you mean it." - Skoal Monster 10/8/14

Welcome to kill the can!
Stopping is easy but quitting and staying quit is hard, but with the help of kill the can and your fellow quit brothers it won't be as hard.

First thing to quit is post roll. Roll call is our pride to quit and our promise to stay quit for that day. Here we quit one day at a time. We take it one step at a time. Your quit group is August 2015, get in there and post, introduce yourself, whatever. They're your brothers and you need them as much as they need you. Here is the link to your quit group:
topic/11112756/

Now read the welcome center. Get to know your way around the site. Read posts (old and new), read stories, hall of fame speeches, general talk whatever. It only helps. Here is the link to the welcome center:
forum/55560/

Ok now that's covered you should be good to go. Just keep reading and looking around. Get phone numbers, contacts, anything. Keep in touch with your brothers.

PM me if there's anything you need. If your confused just post somewhere, someone will help you.

Enjoy your quit!

Hey guys. Today was the day. The day that I had dreamed of and feared at the same time. It was the day that I would no longer be a slave to nicotine. It was the first time in 4 years that I didn't have a tin in my pocket or my truck. I was driving home from college and threw out my very last can of dip ever. The pain from withdrawals I am experiencing right now is unlike anything I have ever experienced before though. I need help on how to combat this and all of the cravings that are sure to ensue. I am right now 99 days from my HOF and I am going to continue to fight until I reach my HOF date on August 24th, 2015.
Congratulations on making the decision brother. I'll break this down for you in some steps:

1. DON'T PUT THAT SHIT IN YOUR LIP. You are quit now. You are done. No withdrawal symptoms will compare to eating through a straw.
2. Drink water like you're in Cali and they're turning off the taps tomorrow. Seriously, it helps flush your system.
3. Juice, especially citrus, helped me. Recommend orange / cranberry if you like them.
4. Go into your group (Pre-HOF August 2015) and post roll every day when you wake up. That's your promise that you won't use nicotine for the following 24 hours. That's all you need to promise. Don't worry about HOF yet. Think right here, right now, this 24 hours. You can do anything for a day.

These next two days will be hell. My recommendation is keep posting in this thread. Write it down. Write exactly how you feel, even if you feel like you're whining and complaining, whatever. You want to remember these 72 hours so vividly that you never want to experience them again.

It's useless to say "keep your mind off dip" because chances are, it will be on your mind almost constantly. But do anything to keep yourself from giving in. Don't think you can take the crave? Go into the break room and do push-ups until you can't move. Leave your money at your desk (so you can't buy a tin) and go on a walk until you can handle it. Sleep as much as possible without getting fired. If you just got back from college (just graduated?) and have some free time, go on a bike ride for a few hours.

Most importantly, go make your promise to your new brothers in August and then DON'T PUT THAT SHIT IN YOUR LIP. It's that easy.
