First of all, excellent website with great information. I have chewed off but mostly on for the better part of 10 years. At my worst times it was 1 can every other day. I have pretty bad mood swings when I have tried to quit in the past so now that I have just been deployed I have decided to take this time to make the quit for good. I am 31 now and want to return a new man and a better husband and father in several ways, one major way is without CHEW! I made it through the first day, with several strong urges and one little freak out but I know this time I am comitted. Please feel free to offer any advice or otherwise, I welcome the storm!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!
"Committed" is a hefty word, but if you're through Day 1 then you're 1/3 of the way through Test #1. Hang in there and be strong. The next few days border on assinine with a twist of chaos.
Take a stroll on over to May2010 and meet your kin. They're the folks that have just taken the leap with you and have "committed" to be your wingman for the next 24 hours.
Once you've gotten a feel for the environment, you might want to stroll on over to the Welcome Center. There you'll find instructions on how to Post Roll, which is how you'll become a wingman to your wingmen.
Big words... "man" ... "husband" ... "father"...
CONGRATULATIONS on your choice!
Welcome!
