Its my first post and I just finished day two of my quit. Been dipping for nearly 17yrs.
I managed all day, at work, exercised and chugged water. It helped.
Its funny, i was worried about mornings, coffee, routines at work, and obvious triggers. But the hardest time is at night. Kids in bed, had a nice supper, wife dozed off. Normally id have one right after supper. And another one (or two) in bed while we watch tv. Its the quiet. Its when youre alone with your thoughts and the addiction starts serving up some pretty believable rationalizations.
I read this site a bit before quitting. Its helpful but i never thought id post. But tonight I think KTC kept me from giving in during those quiet moments. So, thanks.
