My brother, that one little tooth may have just saved your life. This site is for hard-core quitters. And yeah, it will suck. This is the BEST thing you can do for you and your family. Want to look in the mirror and be extremely proud of the man looking back? This is where it starts. No magic formula, no easy way out. Man up and get ready for the fight of your life. The thing now is, you have brothers (and some sisters) in arms, ready to get your back. You CAN do this. Use the site, the accountability and support, it will make all the difference. In the rough days ahead, just know that YES, it is totally worth all the pain and suck you will go through. You have no idea how good it can get. I'm still a newbie at 103 days, but the vets here told me it would be great and now, it is. Proud to be quit with you!

I've been chawing Copenhagen snuff for seven years, Monday I went to the Dentist to see what could be done about a broken tooth, in the past seven years I've not been to the dentist, a big reason i haven't been to a dentist in so long is because i didn't want to hear what they'd have to say about my dip habit. my broken off tooth was directly attributed to tobacco use, I guess I hoped brushing frequently was enough to avoid that tooth decay that I've read about on those warning labels. The tooth had to be pulled, repairing the tooth would have cost 1,300-1,400 dollars, that I can't afford . . .yanking it out cost 100 bucks. To avoid infection in the empty socket and costly dental treatments the dentist stressed NO tobacco use for at least a full week. After talikng it over with my wife we came to view this as an opportunity for me to quit for good. So I'm sitting here with a hole where my tooth used to be, ready to say goodbye to those little round fiberboard cans
Welcome! You've come to the right place. If you are serious about quitting this is the site to join. Take some time and do a lot of reading - use the KillTheCan.org link to find some very helpful articles. One of the veteran quitters will certainly be in touch with you soon.

After trying to quit unsuccessfully for about twenty-five years, I stumbled across this site and am now on Day 137 of my quit. The accountability and brotherhood here has made all the difference.

You can do this!
