Hey All....... 29 y/o will be 30 in march. I've dipped skoal since I was 15..... Really started dipping hardcore when I entered law enforcement. On 3rd shift, you either smoke or dip it seems.

I've lost all of my upper teeth, replaced with a denture. Between the skoal, bad genes, and a few maggots who didn't want to go to jail, they were trashed. My bottom teeth are on the way out now.

The irritability is slowly wearing off, still can't sleep a solid 8 hours....i'm lucky to get 4 right now.

It was a new years resolution to quit, and I made it 4 days before I started back. That pissed me off, so I've re-quit. 6 days now, and come hell or high water I'll never dip again. 'Crazy'

I've been there man...worked third shift as a cop for many years and the dip was the lifeline, kept you awake, kept you occupied when it was slow, but it's time to dump that shit.

Even working 4p to 12a it doesnt get any easier, but you can have what every good cop has...iron resolve and a refusal to quit.

We are not allowed to quit when we fight, because it will cost you your life...this is no different, that tin will find a way to kill you if you let it. Be strong and you will win.

Jeremy... press on brother, you can make it through this. There are plenty of guys in here who have dipped for 25 plus years that have been quit for a long time.

You may want to read the document on the opening page of the website that talks about the symptoms of quitting dipping. It takes you through the first 100 days, what to expect and what you should do. PM me if I can help.

DJR speaks the truth. This place will help. But you have to follow the instructions and get involved. Post roll, make thru today and start over again tomorrow.

You made a wise decision to come on here and get support.. However, you can not keep going back to that NIC bitch when she sits on your right shoulder and screws with your head..
Read up on how to post roll, when you've done this jump on the may 2012 group and put your name down.. Listen to what the vets have to say!
