I have made it through day 2 of quitting again....for the 3rd fucking time...I quit the first time for 6 months...didn't last... I then quit the second time for 2 1/2 years until i found the excuse of going through a divorce to start back. I am a firefighter/emt for a local county in Georgia. I am constantly around people who dip and chew. I am going to have alot of temptation in my everyday living at work. We work 24 on and 48 off....I go back to work on this Wednesday. I will make roll call as much as I can, but may vary from day to day as to what time I can post.... I am 44 years old and have a 9 year old son....I am doing this for me first....I am doing it for him second, everybody else can just wait their turn because that is just how it is.....
I am with you all the way man... I've got 1 day free....don't slip and let me catch ya...Stay strong!

Post Roll every day or communicate with someone and have them post via text, email or call
Get as many number of your group as you can and use them frequently.
Keep in touch with your quit brothers. Send them a PM, text or call every few days just to keep an open line of communication.
Give them your email address
Make it IMPOSSIBLE for you to go a day without several people contacting you all day if you don't post roll.

I'm in Georgia too. Stick with it. Get numbers of guys in your quit group. Text them or call them in the morning if you can't get to a computer and ask them to post roll for you. The nic bitch wants to give you every excuse possible to not post roll...find a way and honor your word. You're already quit and free. Don't give it up.

djr,
Congratulations on your decision! You save lives every week, and now it is time to save your own. It is time to be done with that Bitch once and for all. If you haven't already click on the WELCOME CENTER above this. Read everything there, and then read it again. If you are truly ready to quit, then there are somethings to remember:

1. We do not use any form of nicotine. No lozenges, patches, gummy bears, supporsitories, nothing, nada, zero. All nicotine is out. This includes all emergency stashes - the can in your glove box, at work, by the cereal in the kitchen, next to your razor.....all of it - dumped and out of your life.

2. We post roll every day. This is our promise to each other that we will not use nicotine that day. You will be in the June 2012 group.

3. We Quit. We are Quitters here. You should submerse yourself in this site. Read everything. Jump into chat and introduce yourself. Post in your group. djr, you will not find anyone who understands what you are going through better than us here.

If you are ready then jump on over to the June 2012 quit group and post your day 3. Don't worry if you mess it up. Someone will be along to fix it. Check your Inbox today as well.

hang in there!!! you know better than me how much it sucks to quit and go back...I've "tried" a million times. Joining KTC is making a huge difference. It finally feels real. For what it's worth, I've been a ninja dipper for a long time with my family and a lot of my friends, but also worked on ski patrol and construction where lots of people dipped and it was totally acceptable. I lived in this strange double world for a long time. Now I'm in school --that dumbass spitting into his coffee cup while sitting in class--not exactly a crowd of people who can relate... . I guess what i'm saying is, maybe you can benefit from those people at work--even though they are still dipping, I don't know too many older guys who chew and who don't feel a lot of guilt and fear about it deep down--if they'll admit it. At least they understand the drug. Without this site I don't have anyone I really felt comfortable to talk to. stay with the site--there are awesome people here who actually want you to quit instead of being enablers in the nasty game of denial. I'M RIGHT THERE WITH YOU, trying to better myself.

Good Stuff. I have the same battle - around guys at work who chew. I was a 22+ year/can a day Cope addict and will never go back. I will fight the Nic Bitch down and cut her fucking head off, I am not going back. I will PM you my number and when you cannot post roll because of work - text me and I will post it for you. Posting roll has been #1 in my day - I will not break a promise. Stay Quit - Fight for your Freedom!!!
