Those first two weeks are almost over. From now on, As each day passes the fog dissipates. You have come a long hard way already so theres no point in looking back. Quit with Jan 14. We quit with you.

Hey Big B you're a few days ahead of me. How are you doing? I'm trying to find a way through the fog.   I'm moved to write because i realized how the nic, especially in chew form, waa always my little friend in my little mind, like you did. It makes me sick to think of it now.  Shame. Deceived. I hope that sticks for me.

Hang in there!
Hey Brettlees,

I am doing okay, was a little rough this week. Used to use the nic chew to relieve the work stress. Found some links to herbal chew via the KTC forum though; so that has been helping.

Staying strong with the help of you and the rest of the KTC team!

Stay Strong, move on!
Nice job fellas, support each other early in your group. You'll battle shoulder to shoulder with each other as you work through the fog.

Remember that the "stress" in life that we thought we were "relieving" by using nicotine, was actually the first symptoms of withdrawal, the "relief" we felt was giving our body the substance we were addicted to, it's all a big lie.

Keep posting roll and stay quit, your suffering the fog now, but brighter days are ahead!

Proud to quit with you today. QFQQ
Jludd, thanks for the words, they are appreciated as we all move through this journey together.

Jeff hit the nail on the head boys. Stay strong for one another and keep talking to one another. Build those friendships...that is accountability! Congrats to you both on a job well done.

Yep...my "Romance" cost me ~$41,000 and only tried to kill me. You will learn that there was never a romance, just an addiction.

You can beat it but it's a difficult fight.

The tools are here so use them.

Welcome to KTC BB. I noticed you have not posted roll yet. At 10 days quit, you will be in the January, 2014 quit group. This coming January, you will celebrate your 100 days of being nicotine free...your Hall of Fame date. Posting roll is the price of admission to KTC, nothing more or less. We post roll every day...it is our promise that we will not use nicotine that day. Simple, huh? Post roll, read all you can on the site and get involved. We are here to support you and will do so 24/7...but you have to reach out and let someone know if you are having problems. We can help. I have sent you a PM with my telephone number. Use it anytime you need to vent, rage or just talk to someone who has gone through what you are experiencing. It was also nice to see you in chat tonight...that is a great place to meet other quitters, vent frustrations, or just mingle with others that are going through the same things you are going through. In a few months of being involved with your quit group and talking to other quitters, you will realize that shit in a can was not ever your friend. It was nothing more than a chemically infused plant that kept you addicted to the poison within. Welcome aboard and congrats on taking control of your life. Wayne

The End........

Since that date 10 years ago, this lip has been packed. Monday thru Sunday, conferences through church, sales meetings through conference calls, high school through college through my first ever "career". From the Cope to the Skoal... Redman to Beechnut... Rooster to the Griz. It has been my friend through the up and downs.

Until October 21, 2013 when the dentist decides it was time to grill young B on the chew train. She says to me that fateful day, "it makes me want to cry when I see guys like you; only because I know you will live through the pain but will only have half a face." Now its not the 1st time someone has tried to have me "kick the can", but did this one ever strike a nerve in my thick dip lovin' skull. That day I knew I had to make a change.

So although you were one of my best friends, buddies, hobbies of a lifetime; sometimes you have to move on.

And so the new journey began on Oct 21, 2013, good-bye old friend, and welcome new friends at KTC!

Hey BB Jackson,

Nice to meet you in chat tonight.

I see a lot of myself in your intro post, I romanced the loss of a good friend too. That's the addict in you talking, one of the many lies the nic bitch tells us to keep us feeding our addiction.

If you really want to taste freedom, keep posting roll and hang around for awhile.
