CONGRATS ON THE QUIT.
As an avid outdoorsman myself, I had to have a dip in every waking moment of the day, sucks now looking back on it, but oh the taste of Cope Wintergreen 'drool'
If you need an alternative to help you along, go to this link and order some of this stuff, It will help you early in the quit.

Update on the first week of quit. Going pretty well so far. Day 23 have been the hardest so far, my face almost felt numb. Night 2 I didn't get much sleep but IT IS WORTH IT! The triggers are still there like car rides, after meal, and late night calls. I've found so far that lifesavers and gum have some what helped along with always having a bottle of water with me. Tomorrow is Day 5, I look forward to posting role, as it gives me something to strive for. Really enjoy this site and reading people's journey to end this addiction.

My intro,
Been Dipping for approximately 8 years. 1-1 1/2 cans a day. Tried to quit many times. Avid outdoorsman and tend to dip a lot while outside. I am a full time fire fighter and tend to have much down time where dipping seems to kill the time. My mother just kicked cancers butt and has never smoked or anything to increase her chances. I feel that it is selfish to continue to dip after seeing my mom deal with radiation and other things. Why would I increase my chances? So the time is NOW! I'm done

Thanks! Going pretty good so far. Chewing a lot of gum and drinking a lot of water.
That's a great start. I saw you made roll. Connect with MonsterEMT. He's good shit.
Just a heads up. One of my hardest triggers I've encountered happened on the job. Have a plan to avoid throwing in a car turd after a residence fire. My first three weeks or so I had 2 different types of gum, cough drops, and cinnamon fire jolly ranchers in the engine. I've narrowed it down to gum now and works great. Just have to be ready for the triggers. Be safe out there.

I quit with you today.
