It's not about how many days you have its about defeating this bitch, ODAAT, EDD for life. We are addict's and will be till the day we're buried. I will not be defeated by nic as long as I have ktc family behind me. I couldn't say that 514 days ago! I dipped 38 years of my 51. Quit on!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Smitty143, congtatulations on being 35 plus days clean. It is great that you were able to do this yourself prior to joining.

I quit for about 15 days before I joined KTC. I was checking out the site and could not figure out how to register, etc. If you have problems with that then let me know and I will help you.

I am now on day 252, age 60. Wished I quit when I was young like you. The main thing to remember is that when you get the craves, focus your mind on something else as a distraction and you will forget about it. One day, when we have years under our belts, we will not even remember the craves. But for now, expect that there will be days when it will be especially hard. Work through it. Also recognize that you may be a fog. It is wonderful when it lifts.

Feel free to PM if you need any help. I quit with you today.

100 days is great. It really is. 101 is a little better. They all add up eventually but make no mistake, this fight is daily. While the hof's a great short term goal, it's not the end all, be all, you're cured, go in peace. Ironically, long term success seems to be related to short term objectives and vice versa.

Dipped 35 years. I didn't dip once back when I was 23 and was too sick with the measeals and couldn't drive to the store for snuff. That lasted till I could drive. But that was the longest I ever went without. Wasn't by choice. Then a buddy posted on FB that he had been quit for 5 years. I thought I gotta find out what drugs he's been taking. I said it was a pretty strange method but it was the only thing that had ever worked for him. It was a silly quit support/accountability group. i registered. Checked the place out. But didn't post a Day 1 for two years. I was quite the damn ass. Well, I finally gave in. Drank the kook aide and posted a Day 1. That was 1002 days ago. This place works. Saved my life. About the biggest blessing to ever come into the lives of my family and my self. Give it all you got. It works. PM me any time Brotha. And welcome to KTC.

35 days clean today. Im 27 and chewed for 8-9 years off and on, many failed quit attempts. Im a welder and its difficult not to use tobacco when everyone in your industry does it. I stumbled across this site by being the typical hypochondriac and googling affects of quitting chew. turns out the website was a great resource on what to expect in the different time frames following your quit. my anxiety is through the roof, dry tongue, and small sores where my tongue hits my teeth (lasting maybe 2 days). this forum seemed silly at first but now cant thank the community enough for the support. look forward to seeing other's progression and i hope i motivate others to keep with it and vise versa. on the road to 100 days!
