Jason,

Welcome...you may be past the physical part of the suck but your mind is about to begin messing with you bigtime. All the time you were dipping, your brain was wiring additional dopamine receptors to feed off the nicotine you were polluting yourself with. It takes MONTHS to reverse all that wiring so be ready for some serious funks. Just remember that it will suck until it no longer sucks.... Next I would offer you need to READ, as much as you can on these pages...there is some serious quit wisdom here from folks that have been doing it a heckuva lot longer than you and me....learn from them.

If you haven't already done so, suggest you head over to the Welcome Center and Learn How to Post Roll. Then head on over to the December '14 quit group, Here.

Posting roll is the BEDROCK of this site. It instills accountability in the quitter and strengthens us all by posting with one another (builds the brotherhood/sisterhood) Yes, there are some SERIOUS quittin' females among us! Once you've found your way to the December RANT, get to know some of your fellow quitters. Exchange numbers with them. Build a network of support to help you through the tough times.

Glad you're here, but this is something you have to pick up and OWN every day. You'll be glad you did.

So, were you going to join the KTC and post roll, or just make a late night post and move on? Day 6 alone is bad ass man, but make it easier, and meet some other quitters by posting roll call in the Pre-HoF December group. We post roll to promise each other we are nicotine free for 24 hours. I am today, are you?

I hope you have found your group. If so, you need to start doing roll every day, and commit to them that you are quit for a day. That's how we do it here. Post roll every day. Glad for you my friend, and I look forward to seeing you in the HOF!

Great job Jason. We quit one day at a time here. We do it by posting roll with our quit group (this is pledging on your honor not to use nicotine for the day), you need to get that done ASAP.

Welcime aboard!

Day six

Names Jason and I am on day six... No Copenhagen or patches/gum. I feel like I have made it past the worst part of quitting(hopefully). I started chewing at 13, by the time I finished high school it was a can a day habit, and that's how it stayed until last Saturday. I just happened across this site today and was thrilled to find such a great resource!
