LG,

You sound ready. Your intro stuck out to me, because it reminds me so much of the mindset I had when I came here. The boys above have given you the most important advice - post roll. Here's what you need to do to own this quit and kick the nic bitch out:

1 - Post roll, every day with no exceptions. If you can't access the site, call or text a group mate to post for you. The promise every day to quit is the foundation of this quit, and you have to buy into this concept to succeed.
2 - Make this quit your top priority when you wake up, and a top priority of your free time especially in the coming months.
3 - Do this by first messaging a ton of people in your group with an introduction of yourself and your contact info. These people are going to save your life.
4 - Read the site. Read the blogs, the stories, the intro's, hop in the chat room, everything you can to widen your understanding.

Check your inbox for my number. I quit with you today brother,

-KO

If you lurked here then you know what it takes. Your intro reads nearly identical to my story. You know you can only ever quit for today. It's an active daily battle. You'll get what you put in.

Take full advantage of KTC. Early on, I used live chat and read a lot all over the site. Make sure you develop at least one rock solid quit budy in your month. Post every day, no excuses. Never forget or lose site of how important this is. I want you to quit. I want you to stay quit. Learn to live life outside of the cage of nicotine.

I quit with you.

Hello all,
I have been dipping pretty steadily since I started college. I thought it would be a stupid/fun/rebellious thing that I would do as a student, but give up soon there after. Boy was I wrong. I actually quit for a few months in my final semester of college, but decided I could handle the occasional dip and ended up hooked again. That was five years ago and I now cannot believe that I have been addicted to this stuff for 10 years now. I never thought I would be addicted, and never thought it would last this long, but truthfully up until last week, I never thought that I would quit or want to quit. Last week I had a terrible canker sore (which is nothing new for most of us) but something happened and it opened my eyes to the realities of what I have been doing to my body for the past 10 years. I have been poisoning myself and lying to most who know me about my addiction. So I quit. No ceremony, no internal arguments, I made up my mind that I would no longer do this to myself. I promised myself, and most importantly I promised God that I would never touch the stuff again.
I found this site years ago the first time I quit and only lurked... that was my plan this time as well, but we see how well last time went. This time I'm quitting for good and I know the community will help me in this process as I look forward to encouraging and aiding others.
Welcome LG, learn how to post roll! I added while ago, wasn't sure how many days but you're on roll and that's your promise. The addict brain is a very powerful tool. We must learn to stay one step in front of it. You will learn the tools on how to beat this one day at a time but you will always be an addict. You're part of the family, a big one I might add. Post roll , keep your word and you will survive dail! Simple post early, every damn day and be a man of your word and you will be successful! Quit on!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD
