Welcome BSC, but please allow me to correct you. You never quit twice....you only stopped for a really long time. You see, around here, a quit is when you're done once and for all, for GOOD. Quits are built one day at a time, one roll (one promise) at a time. I dipped for nearly four decades....I too once believed I had "quit" for a little over a year a couple decades ago....

But the thing is, you CAN quit, for GOOD, once and for all.... So welcome!

I appreciate the question about what's different this time. Frankly, I couldn't have forecast my fall 4 years ago. So, what's different today? (1) I've grown in respect myself. As much as quit for my family and others, I quit for me because I respect and care about myself. (2) I live content in the present moment. No one gets to go back in time and a do repeat. And (3) I'm man enough to ask for help when I need it as well as give help when needed. The last one is the biggest difference.

Hey bud, i was once in the same boat. I stopped, notice I said stopped, back in 1990 or so and never dipped again until about 2003 or 2004 WTF was wrong with me? And that was 6 months after I gave up a 3 pack per day addiction to cigs. I am still addicted, I just no longer am the sucker at the end of the cancer sticks.

I am curious as well, what is going to be the difference this time? We all know it is a bitch and the dirty whore will pillow talk us at will at all the wrong times. I try to think I got a plan of action but I don't. What I DO have is a network of bad ass quitters that are QLF every day! I know damn good and well if I need one, I can call or text and all but immidiately get a response. I can't do this shit on my own. At least Im not willing to risk it today. bet your ass I will be on roll in the morning if it kills me!

take care man and quit like fuck!!!

If you need anything, holler at a feller!

If I could I would. If I don't, it's because I am lazy.

I've stopped many times; I've quit only twice.

The first quit lasted 13.5 years. Four years ago, I picked up the can again. I don't regret that decision; I had my reasons. Moreover, I believe one should learn from choices (good or bad) rather than living in the past through regret. What did I learn from the last 4 years? On most things, one can live with moderation. On somethings, there can be no compromise. Nicotine is one of them.

The second quit started 27 days ago (4 July 2016). I know what I'm facing and how difficult it can be. Last time I quit alone. This time I don't have to.

Thanks,

BSC

Welcome to KTC. I'm not sure why on earth you needed nicotine for anything after 13.5 years quit. Will there be a reason for you to pick up the can again? What has changed?

The best way to quit is with a team. Post roll every day and be accountable.

I quit with you today!
Listen to this man^^^^! And I will add nothing and I do mean nothing is worth me ever going back to that shit. Learn to hate the shit or you will never succeed. Wow you didn't regret going back after quitting 13.5 years. Hell I regretted every time I stopped and started back even if it was only 2 days! I'll quit with you as long as your name is on the roll! Quit on!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD
