Headaches are starting to hurt.
Ibuprofen as needed. Whatever it takes to get you through this. Oh, and drink water. LOTS of water. If you're walking past a bathroom without ducking in, you're not drinking enough.

Right on. Ditto what Alterego said. Change your mindset to stay away from words like "attempt" or "so far". We quit around here. Period. You can too. Don't give up and reach out if you need help. Glad you're here, bud.

Hey heavy. Didn't see your name over in our august group. I'm 8 days quit, and part of your cohort. Get your sorry quit ass over to the august pre- hall of fame group and post roll today or tomorrow.

I'm sending you a pm with my digits. It may sound cheesy as shit but accountability and brotherhood are the pillars of quitting. Send me a text or even call me before you think about buying a tin.

You got thx. We got this. Welcome to the bastards battling addiction.

Welcome. Go to the Quit Group section, find your August '17 Quit Group, and post a promise to not use nicotine in any form for the rest of the day. Do the same thing tomorrow, and every tomorrow after that. Keep your promise, and stay quit.

If you can't post roll then I can't give a fuck.
If you can't give a fuck, why are you posting in his intro? Everyone's quit is their own, if they own it. If he understands that "you can't have just one", he won't have "just one". Brotherhood or not, this is on him.

Went to the dentist this week. No cancer, no bone loss, everything is good to go. Just some gum loss, that is repairable. Been super busy with school and life. Fell off posting everyday. But its been a year of quit.
Thats awesome you're a year quit bro you still talking to your group?

I can't stress enough how important it is for the brotherhood for longevity. I've made it on my own countless times...until a drunk birthday, a blacked out 4th of july, a dead friend. just shit you don't think of, and then boom there's a cigar, a cigarette, a dip, a vape. I'd rather you have some digits to call on those days instead of wind up in a gas station pointing out the right tin, or toking on a cuban your brother in law brought back from mexico for you.
I mean I can't tell you that the brotherhood's gonna keep me clean forever, or for longer than doing it on my own did. I can just assure you that doing it on your own rarely works. And that for today I will not dip, and probably tomorrow, maybe the next day. but today I made my promise to my brothers. and so today I can't.
He did post in August 17. I asked the same question. Coming back to check up on us or coming back to get and give some accountability. Hopefully the latter! Time will tell. All I know is that each milestone brings about stronger thoughts of "just one won't hurt". Luckily I've got my August 17 Bastards and I've got the fact that I already promised them that I quit today and I've also got their digits in case I find myself in front of a wall of death thinking about pointing out the right tin.
