You can do it Brother! Sure its tough, but it WILL get better, and you'll be a new man.. Hang in there! I highly recommend getting some Smokey Mountain chew.. it helps out when you need something in your lip... it helped me just to keep it in my pocket and pack it...

On my fourth day and am doing okay I guess. I want to quit cause dip runs my life, ya'll know what I'm talking about.

Have dipped 2.5 cans of Cope a day for 18 years and have had enough! I can't even remember what life was like before I started dipping. I know it feels pretty good not to have particles of whatever they put in the can stuck between my teeth since I quit.

Will post and keep who-ever cares up to date. I need some kind of help because I have tried to quit in the past and took it right back up again. As I said, dip has run my life.
Congrats on a great decision to quit. Post up, read, stay active and you will find success here. 4 days is great, keep going.

P.S. - I care
Jack -- I've got 11 years longer than you tagged on to an old beast of a habit. I'm only a week ahead of you on the quit, though. Day 4 wasn't too much fun as I recall. Stay close, here. Post roll call. There are a helluvalot of good people here willing to shoulder some burden. And... dig this: DIP DOES NOT RUN YOUR LIFE ANY LONGER. Sing along now, Amen!
Jack, four days is huge!!!! your doing great , just take it one day at a time
"CLOSE THE DOOR. In my opinion, it?s the single most important step in your final quit. There is one moment, THE moment, when you finally let go and surrender to the quit. After that moment, no temptation will be great enough, no lie persuasive enough to make you commit suicide by using tobacco."
