Quit Date 11/14/2015

DAY 47
I'm not sure which group you should be in. If your quit date was November 14th you are quit for more days than 47. Which of these is correct?
You're right, honestly that was my initial date I wanted to quit and I pussed out. I updated it though!
OK, your quit group is March 16 - get your name on roll here every morning. :)

March 2016 Quit Group

You will most likely mess it up the first few times but that is OK - someone will fix it. The only way you can fail here is to not post your promise!

I quit with you today!

Hey guys, I am new to this whole blogging thing and I guess to the site since I really have only written on the main home page. First off I am having difficulty joining a quit group? Is there a place I can join my quit group to discuss some of our struggles? I saw where they have Hall Of Fame groups? Thanks for your help.

Well, here is my story... I started chewing about 12 years ago during baseball, it started out with my high school teammates and I doing it because we would see who could go without puking and we loved the high we got from it. I would chew off and on during baseball for the next few years through college. Once baseball was done I was about 21 and started playing beer league softball, this is where the addiction was full blown. I would chew 2 cans a day during tournaments and 1 can a day on other days. I didn't even realize it but the high was gone, and basically I was chewing to not feel sick. I came to the realization that I was more addicted than most as I always had to have a dip in my mouth. I am a Loan Officer and would even dip with potential clients at my desk, how tacky! The addiction was that strong though, I was willing to miss out on potential bonus money just to keep that dip in. A couple years ago I quit for about 120 days and got super drunk and decided I could do just one... Long story short this was during a softball tournament and boom I was on the pony again! I think it's a blessing because I know now that I can not have just one. It is a selfish addiction as my wife would cry at times thinking about me losing years on my life to put something in my mouth that had no value but to keep me from being sick for a couple weeks. To anyone wanting to quit, know this... The first few days/weeks are pure hell, but it is good hell. You prove to yourself that you can do the hardest thing you've ever done in your life.. That is a great feeling! I learned through this all, you have to quit on your own terms!! Thanks for letting me rant, LOVE THIS SITE!!

^^ start here^^

Owning up to your addiction is what we do here by pledging our promise not to ingest any type of nicotine for the day.

After you post in March 2016 - check your InBox ( upper right)
There is a price of admission into our Quit Club. All we ask is that you post your promise on a daily basis and keep that shit outa your lip. That's all there is. If you feel you want to help others then that's awesome. This place works.

Keep on quitting.
