Quitting during your strep throat was a good start.

But, guess, what? YOU ARE GOING TO FAIL.

If you don't get your mind right, and truly become a quitter, you'll go back to the can. I'm 47, I also started dipping when I was 13. I also got sore throats and stopped dipping... at least 10 times.

We're all the same here. We've all told the same lies to ourselves, and our loved ones. Sore throats, New Years Days, marriages, jobs, kids, scary white spots... we've all been there. None of them work.

You must truly commit to quitting. Every. Day. And, you must validate that commitment every single day. I'm not going to tell you that you have to do that here, but this place is a damn good way to show up and put in the work of building your quit. However, for this place to work, you gotta punch in every single day. Can't call in, can't take a vacation. Get in your group and promise yourself and your dudes that you sill not use nicotine for today. Then do it again tomorrow. If you need anything, we're around, and we've been there.

I quit with you today, man.

What applejack said is important. When you are new at KTC it takes faith because it seems odd and militant at first.

When I got here, I initially thought everyone was taking crazy pills, but I told myself that I'd follow the leaders and have faith in the process. Even do the things that don't seem to make much sense.

With that faith, you will cultivate a conviction for your quit that will provide you shelter in the tough times. You will have the tools to overcome what so many can't.

It starts with posting roll every day, no excuses. It is your promise and you can't break that promise if you have integrity. Exchange telephone numbers so you have someone to call or text in a moment of weakness, and so you have others who are directly holding you accountable. Learn about alternatives and find what works for you; gum sunflower seeds fake dip chewing sticks whatever. And lean on that crutch as hard as you have to.

Take a leap of faith in the KTC way. I quit with you oday

Dude, that's all well and good but this site isn't a salve you put on every time the rash itches.

We all tried half-assing being quit in one way or another. This place is the only place that worked. Really worked. Make this work for you by following the path we've blazed...

Find your quit group. These are folk who have quit about the same time you have. They're going through the same shit.

Post your Quit roll everyday with them.

Get involved and stay involved. Man, it's the only way that works. Trust me.
Well, it’s one louder, isn’t it? It’s not ten.

LLLTNT365, welcome to this site. If you are serious about quitting, you've come to the right place. If you're not sure yet, wait until you are 100% sure. This is not a place to "try" to quit.

I got sick on March 1st 2016 with strep and a virus. This sickness
So far was a blessing because it forced me to quit as I could not eat
Or drink for a few days. Today I back to work and actually had some
Copenhagen cravings. I'm finishing quit for my 6th day. I've been
Chewing and dipping since 13 and now 46. The first 5 days were easy
Cause I was sick now the real work begins.
