Balls to the wall spyder! Congratulations on one of the best decisions you've ever made!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Staying busy the first week helped distract me from the physical withdrawals; you will be suprised at all the other stuff you can do instead of dipping! Definitely got some chores down around the house I've been putting off for months, and it felt great!

Hope to see you on the December quit forum; PM me if you ever need anything!

Thank you guys for the tips. I'm at work today so I should be busy. Tonight I will have some cravings and I'm sure tomorrow too. Can't wait for my ripped lip to heal it looks like waves in my skin. Can't wait to taste again. I'm also going to replace craves with working out because I need to drop some pounds too. I'm not replacing nic with eating. This is going to be a life transformation of mental and physical sense.

I promise not to dip today or use nicotine ever again. I'm done with this shit. It is not going to control me. I am in charge today. Tomorrow is going to suck but one day at a time. See ya tomorrow.
thats the right attitude. if it gets tough get on here and start posting PMing people or hit up live chat, there is always someone who can help
Love the enthusiasm! You're going to need a chip on your shoulder to beat this thing and it sounds like you have it.

Exercise is a great way to work through cravings, but hey man, if you end up putting on a little weight that's ok. If it comes down to stuffing your face with dip, opt for Ranch over Wintergreen.

Quitting HAS to take priority if you want to be successful.

Welcome to the best decision (healthwise, and mentally) you have ever made.

Now be warned. This addiction will not go quietly into the night. You need to read as much as you can about it and arm yourself with knowledge and integrity. This place works (assuming you have integrity), because once you place your name on the roll, you're giving your word that you will not use nicotine in any form that day. Then you live up to your promise. Then you repeat. Along the way, you build an external family of like-minded quitters who, properly leveraged, will steel your resolve in the trying moments that will come. THAT WILL COME. Recognize this now, and prepare for them.

Also know that quitting nicotine, as far as I can tell from EXTENSIVE web searches I've completed over the years, has NEVER actually killed anyone. If the countless thousands of quitters here can manage to gut through the craves that will happen, you can too. There is ABSOLUTELY ZERO excuse to EVER have a dip again, or a cigar, or a cigarette, or any other form of nicotine, once you've decided to quit.

Dive in, drink deep, and get to quitting. It is going to absolutely suck for awhile, then that suck will finally abate. Meanwhile, you're on your way to freedom! Welcome!

I'm also from Michigan.

I totally agree with Christopher - dump it all right now. Post your promise not to use any more in the December quit group. Keep the promise, and make it again tomorrow.

All of us here planned to quit tomorrow, and all of us found s reason not to do it. A quit works when it starts right now, no matter how much is left in the can.

David, speaking as someone who promised to quit "tomorrow" hundreds of times before coming here, look yourself in the mirror and quit right now. The electronic dustbins of KTC are filled with well-intentioned but toothless posts like yours. Quit today. You made it here. You are not alone.
Don't be afraid.  You are not alone.

Down to my last pinch
« on: August 28, 2016, 05:18:00 AM »
Hi,
Here from Michigan. I've been dipping for almost 20 years. A little smoking here and there. Lately I've been dipping a can of grizzly every 2 days. I am fully addicted to this shit. I am down to 2 pinches left. I am going to dip 2 more times today and quit tomorrow. I've tried to quit before so I know the hell Im about to enter. I know I'm going to be pissy and the wife is going to get mad at me. So tomorrow 8/29/16 I'm going to post roll and start my life free of nicotine.
