No post yet in July 2018? Posting roll is the price of admission here. Put your name on the line, make a promise and keep your word. One day at a time. I hope you decide to come back, post roll and lather on the special sauce of KTC which is the brother/sisterhood of this place and the accountability that comes with it. It really is the difference for many of us between being quit and using again.

Also, none of this "if I make it to the end of the year" mentality. We quit here, we don't "try" to quit here. As Yoda said, "do or do not, there is no 'try'" It seems like a trivial thing, but it isn't. Getting the right mindset down is very important - it may be 99% of the battle. Understand that you are completely in control as to whether or not you stay quit. Nicotine wants to fool you into thinking you aren't strong enough - that you need it - but that is just a load of lies. Take tobacco off the table. It is not an option. Get a crave? Do something else. Use fake, eat seeds, do jumping jacks, down a gallon of water, eat an entire cow if necessary. Just do something else.

I promise you that you can do this.

Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

Welcome.

Here are the keys to quiting chew - post roll daily, get to know the guys in your quit group, exchange digits with some of them, reach out when you need help, refuse to cave.

I'm 819 days clean, and I still post roll early every single day. If you've stopped using for a year, you know quitting is a long-term commitment. Once an addict, always an addict.

Keep in mind that a crave lasts about four minutes. That's it. Find something else to do - reach out to a brother, log on to KTC, and read, or even slam your nuts in a desk drawer. Find anything to do but cave.

Glad to see you are quitting and welcome to KTC!

Utilize all the tools ktc has to offer because there are some great links on this website that can help you out. Here at KTC we post our daily promise on not using nicotine on roll call. My best advice to you is to invest in your quit because getting to know other quitters is a great thing and it makes your quit more personable to be able to share the experience with others who have gone through the same thing.

Day 1 for me

I've been chewing since I joined the Army in 1988. I've stopped a couple of times, a year was the longest. Couple of years ago I decided to quit being a douche and get healthy again. I switched to a plant based diet, started running and competing in 5k races after a 22 year break. The only thing left is to stop the chew so that's why I'm here. Instead of buying chew I've decided to put that money in a can and use it for something else at the end of the year if I make it that long without chewing.
