I appreciate all the support from all of you guys. And I AM going to post roll every day. I tried to go to the chat room but it tells me that my username doesn't exist.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day?is?the evil thereof.

Great decision Josh. Quit Hard, get your ass into chat and meet some fellow quitters and start building some accountability with others. It works if you let it.

Awesome decision JTP, and welcome to KTC. You can do this, one day at a time. The freedom from nicotine is amazing.

Hey Josh, I suggest that you "do" rather than "plan". I had dipped/chewed for 32 years; quit a hundred times but always found myself pulling into a convenience store where I 'planned to have just one'. And then right back into my dark miserable hole. By the Grace of God I found KTC. For me posting roll and complete transparency (humility) were the tools and fellowship was the power for success.

I repeat and repeat: That after eight tobacco free days many months ago I would have caved if it had not been for obligations to that damned Roll Call.

Strangle the voice of temptation. Obey and lean on people here. And by all means don't be tempted to tell yourself that you have succeeded. It's more of a war than a battle.

Josh, welcome and good on you for fighting through the SUCK on your own. Now remember how miserable it was, it is a good reminder of why you never want to go back to the point and start this shit again. I will second the opinion that posting roll leads to success. I have seen many a tough guy start to falter at posting roll, only to fade away and then come back here later and post a day 1 again. Don't be that guy, be the quit guy. If you keep your word then posting roll is fail proof. Quit with you today.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I plan on posting daily. I read through a lot of things on this site a couple days before I joined. There is a lot of useful info.

6 days on your own? That's great! You've made it through a very hard part. If you want KTC to work for you, you have to use the site for you.

1. Post roll daily. It's the most important part. I can tell you why if you'd like to know more
2. Get some phones numbers of at least 3 people in your quit group. Use them when needed.

Follow those two steps and you'll be off to a great start! Glad to be quitting with you today.

Hello everyone. It's very nice to come across this site. I am 32 years old and have dipped since high school. My name is Josh. I am happily married with 3 wonderful kids. I decided to quit dipping about a week ago. I am 6 days off tobacco and nicotine. I have tried to quit several times before but never without the aid of some time of nicotine gum or patch. So this is my first time cold turkey. The first 3 or 4 days were absolute hell. But I'm hanging in there. This time I'm going to make it.
Welcome aboard, Josh!
Go here forum/55560/ and read all you can. This place has gems of wisdom scattered everywhere. Post roll with December. One Day At A Time and Never Again For Any Reason! ODAAT and NAFAR, my friend!
Quit since 1/23/14
