So I was ignorant to the relationship between nicotine and caffeine. I work third shift and drink coffee on occasion if I am feeling a bit tired. Today was the first day I did so since I quit. And damn did that coffee take a toll on me. Probably didn't help that I filled my cup twice. Not 15 minutes after I drank it my head was spinning. It was not comfortable in the slightest. Anyone else have this kind of reaction?
Drink lots of water, avoid alcohol and caffeine in your early quit is good advice.

Nice reflection, and nice job posting roll, repeat the same tomorrow, you'll be shocked how fat the days start stacking up. Good luck.

Hey man, congratulations on getting over the first (of many, many, many) humps. You threw the can out the window and nicotine is officially out of your body. Grady was nice about it. I'll be a little bit more blunt.

At KTC, we quit by posting roll every day. Every Damn Day. When you post roll, you promise you will not use nicotine in ANY form for 24 hours. We do this because it works. Every day you promise not to use nicotine is a day you're not using nicotine. A year of quit might seem unbelievable now, but when you're adding +1's every day on roll, it just sort of adds up.

People here will quit with you every day. You'll get numbers, rant at us, yell at us, get yelled at, get all your quit rage out and whatever the hell else you want to do. But only IF you post roll. You already made the leap to quit tobacco/nic, now make the commitment.
"Post roll. Post more if you want to. That's the beauty of the place: We ask you post roll. We ask you to be honest. That's all. No more. No less. Be there for your brothers and ask for help when you need it." - Wastepanel 10/6/14

"What would you do to save your own life? If you were fighting cancer today would you suffer through Chemo, surgeries, try new a therapy? change your diet, go to church? What intolerable hell would you endure to simply live. When you have thought long and hard about that, think on this. Why not apply that attitude to your quit. Suffer through the temporary discomfort of withdrawal to achieve your freedom from a slow painful demise via nicotine. Your in the ring already- fight like you mean it." - Skoal Monster 10/8/14

Welcome! Man for 24 years old, you definitely seem to have a handle on what it takes to tackle this disgusting addiction. Why don't you make your promise to stay nicotine free here in March. We make a daily promise to ourselves and each other that we will NOT use nicotine in any form. Read here until it hurts. The amount of quit here is beyond overwhelming. Perhaps you can add to it? Your hatred towards tobacco, the desire to stay quit and this place will save your life! Quit on.

5 days in intro
« on: December 08, 2014, 06:28:00 AM »
5 days ago I bought the best can of chew I've ever had. On my way home from work I bought that can and as I was about to put that dirt in my mouth I thought to myself "I'm 24 years old, I don't wanna do this for the rest of my life." And threw the can out of my window (sorry for littering). So after 5 and a half years I know for a fact I am finally done.

My journey so far has been an easy one. Days 2 and 3 were interesting as I had trouble concentrating. But since then I've never been happier. I ran across this site because I really have no one in my life that I can talk to about the struggles of this kind of addiction and went online to find this exact thing.
