I've decided to quit for my baby daughter. Im sick of her looking at me with a lip in. I've tried twice but caved within a week. It's not a long time but I've been at a tin of grizzly every day for 2 years now. How do you guys keep going?
We sack up.

I think these folks should be called, "crop dusters". All they do is momentarily pass through the room and grace us with the after effects of the egg salad sandwich they had for lunch and then promptly leave.

The question is do YOU want to?
It is true. I quit smoking for my oldest than was a ninja dipper for the next 7 years. It wasnt until I made the decision to quit for me that it hit home. And by no means is this easy or cliche bc it is true it is one day at a time. Please read intros and you will find that there are many like us, yet there are very few who stay beyond 100 days or 1000 days so when those that are posting 700 + days i choose to listen with more than open ear but an open mind.

topic/10429580/ My intro
There are no circumstances in which using nicotine will improve the outcome.

My journey. The best part it is not over yet.

How do I keep going? I promise a bunch of people that I have never met that I won't use nicotine for 24 hours. Then I wake up the next day, and make that same promise.

If I bet you $1000 not to eat for 24 hours, could you do it? How about not watching TV, or using a cell phone? Now change that to not dipping for 24 hours. It's hard at first, but I can last 24 hours, hell, I sleep 10 of those hours anyway. It's only your life here bro, why don't you join me starting....now.
x2

You've never succeeded in the past because you were never ready. Don't quit for anyone but yourself. Quitting for another will only cause resentment as you come to associate the feelings of withdrawal with the feelings you have for that post.

Roll is the cornerstone of the site, when you post in the morning it is your promise to not use today. Which is all we care about here. Do not use for today.

Wake up, post roll, sleep, repeat.

That simple.

How do I keep going? When I post roll in the morning, that is the end of the battle for today. Dipping is not an option. When you are ready to quit, you'll understand that.
These guys gave some great advice, read everything on this site and then follow every link.

"CLOSE THE DOOR. In my opinion, it?s the single most important step in your final quit. There is one moment, THE moment, when you finally let go and surrender to the quit. After that moment, no temptation will be great enough, no lie persuasive enough to make you commit suicide by using tobacco."
