Welcome to the rest of your healthier life. Stay focusing on winning these early battles by the minute if necessary. When you realize you're gonna win this fight don't give ground back to the enemy for old times sake either.

Welcome Sammy. We're glad that you are here. We all had to come to some sort of realization that quitting was worth more than continuing our path to certain end. As a fellow veteran I want to say first and foremost, thank you for your service. Glad that you chose to quit and kicked that nic bitch to the curb. I know its hard, I myself am just finishing up day 15, but it will get easier. One word of advice I received when I began this journey was to embrace the suck, never forget it and know that you do not want to face it again. With that, good luck in your Quit Group and if you need any support, reach out to myself or any of the other members. Proud to quit with you.

First Day
« on: February 01, 2011, 10:15:00 PM »
Well today is day #1, it was terrible, barely could make it through one shift at work. I have been dipping since I was 14 years old, I am 23 now, Skoal Straight is what started it. I am currently in the Air Force been in nearly 5 years, and recently my gums have been taking a beating from the dip, so after trying to quit numerous times, I chose Feb. 1 2011 the day. I can no longer take the bloody gums anymore. I chose to join the site for advice and help along the way.

Thanks for reading
