This is probably the 3rd or 4th time I have tried to quit, previous times I would quit for 2 or 3 months and just start back up because I didnt care if I dipped or not. Luckily this time I haven't had the haze daze like I have had before. Actually this time I haven't had an overbearing urge yet and hopefully it stays that way. The biggest problem with the quits before was that I didnt care to quit, but now I am ready to save that money and my health. Getting married Oct 1st and that will be just a few weeks shy of 100 days HOF. I'll make it and stay clean this time for my wife and kids.
Welcome aboard rossh, good to have you. Now down to the nitty gritty. Here are a few things you need to wrap your head around if you want this quit to be any different than your others. Here at KTC we do not try to quit, we QUIT. We do not hope and pray, we buck up, man up, cowboy up, however you want to look at it, and just plain ole' quit. We stop putting poison in our bodies and suffer through the withdrawal and craves. We embrace the suffering as it is at the core of our quit. We never want to go through it again. We give our word every morning in roll call and we keep that word for 24 hours. Then we do it all over the next day. Last but not least we quit for OURSELVES and no one else. Quit for your wife and the first thing you will do if the pisses you off it go take a dip to spite here. Fucked up thinking, but it will happen. Your quit group is October index.php?showtopic=4873st=0
Get your ass in there and post roll, here is how index.php?showtopic=50

No excuses, just quit.
Follow this rosh, and you want go wrong in your quit!! No truer words spoken, right down to the nitty grit brother. nico

I golfed in my normal thursday night scrabmle last night which is usually when i have a lot of beers and dip the whole time while enjoying golf and my buds. But i denied the urge which i did have many times. instead i chewed on a golf tee. worked well. i think if i can handle the golf course i can handle anything. day 5 strong...
I feel that.

My first round of golf without dip was pretty fucking brutal. But I've had about 5-6 rounds since, and it's getting easier very quickly. Seeds can help. Just don't spit that shit on the greens! Some assholes at my course do that and it's fucking disgusting.

Anyway, Stay strong and congrats on the quit.

Welcome Rossh and congratulations on saving your own life. Are you committed to saving your life every day? Be here daily and you can't help but to be committed.

The first days are critical. Be here. Always. Tell your fianc«±e you're doing this. You will need support from home. Read and listen. Spend as much time here as possible and you will conquer this.
The love you get here is conditional. The condition is that you are quit.

rossh, if you want it you got it. you are in complete control of your quit. all you gotta do is CHOOSE not to put that shit in your lip today. and then do the same thing tomorrow. it's not rocket science...im sure you know that. the freedom you will gain by not being a slave to the nic bitch will far outweigh any temporary pain at the start of your quit. just stay patient and committed. holler if you need anything.
