Well done Bert! Congrats on 300. Glad to be a part of your Quit in July Brother. You're Quit now, and to quote your intro, THAT's "how you roll" now! Keep killing it!
Just one and you will be back where you started.
And where you started was desperately wishing
you were where you are right now.

Hello! New guy here... Been quit for 39 days. I'm 40 years old and have been addicted to Nicotine since I was 17. I smoked for 12 years until my 1st son was born. I have not had a cig since.. To help myself get off the cigs I decided to start using snus.. I did that for years and then decided to stop and switched to Nicotine lozenges. That lasted awhile until it started to affect my teeth then went to some other form of Nicotine only to pick up the snus again.. As you can see I just keep jumping from one thing to the next.. Pretty embarrassing but that's how I've rolled for many years..

I have finally rid myself of Nicotine and feel really good about it..

Anyway, I have read a TON on this site and can appreciate everyone's story.

I quit with you all TODAY!!
No reason to be embarrassed. I am on day 4 and quite honestly after the 72hr hell things seem better today. I dont feel lost and out in left field. We are here for you. Only YOU can quit, but having people around you that also are going through it makes it a little easier. Dont take it out on your loved ones they didnt make you dip. Take it out on us here. Get some peoples phone numbers, text them, ask questions and whatever you do do not go anywhere near that nicotine!

Welcome to the group!

Solid quit going Brother Bert! I've caught your support posts to other newbies and it's all good stuff. Thanks for that. Stay strong in the quit, ODAAT, and proud to be Quit with ya!
Thanks Paul-San. Been 52 days and sure is still a struggle at times.. Still find myself getting very irritable so I need to work on that... I'm truly amazed with the folk on this site. I recently told my wife about KTC and she thinks it's wonderful.. She's proud of me for getting involved and getting this DONE! That made me feel real good...

Nice work, Bert. The whole KTC process can be pretty fucked up at first. You have to log in and then highlight and copy, or do you cut?, and then go up and paste and add your name to this list of people that are out of their minds crazy from nicotine withdrawal.... Half the time you mess it up, and then you bump someone and then they get pissed or you feel bad...

But you know what? That is all part of it. It helps you mentally get engaged. It helps you build bonds. You start noticing when a person is missed. You get their phone numbers. You exchange dick pix with them (did I really just say that out loud???) Seriously... this place is just amazing.

Follow the plan, and you have a 100% chance of success. 100%. Post your promise, keep your word. You will also, if you do this right, make some of the best friends you have and build a network of strangers into a network of brothers. All wins. And your family, your insurance company, but most importantly yourself... will be really really really happy with your decision.

Welcome aboard, brother.
Congtrats on day 46..
Appreciate your help in intro.
Stay on your intro also.
When we share our struggles they flee.
When we dont.
They fall in the hands of the Bi!#h!
Every word of encouragement,
Every victory.
Is medicine to the soul of an addict......!
You helped my quit today with your story to MedQuit.
Thank you sir.

Welcome bro, congratulations for making it 39 days so far. I've got little ones looking up to me, I hear you on that. You are in July group with me. I hear you on eating so much darn food, but you gotta do whatever you gotta do to get through.

Thanks Ace. I feel really good about this... I have been able to overcome other addictions and this will be no different! Thru all the other stuff Nicotine was always my fall back drug and now it's time to be done! I have 3 young sons that look up to Dad and this is really important to ME! I've been hammering on the sugar free gum for 39 days and that has helped! I now need to work on not eating so much damn food....
