Hey Everyone,

My name is CJ. I grew up in CT and now live in Manhattan. I'm 29 years old. As I am posting this intro (Thanks to Wedge) I am on day 4 of Quit. I was a baseball player, played since birth through college. We were on a travel team trip when I was 15 to Arizona. The guys on my team stole some Kodiak and some beers and 14 years later I'm about a 3-4 can a week dipper.

Anyways, the reason I quit is because I want to live and be healthy. About 2 weeks ago my 94 year old grandfather passed away. This dude was my idol. Walked 3 miles everyday up til the day he died. Believe it or not it was a shock that he died (EVEN AT 94) because he was in such good shape. As I saw him on his hospital bed, I remeber sayin to myself man I have good genes I hope I live that long. Then in the back of my head, I had that monkey on my back that I am secretly putting poison in my mouth every day. So fuck it. I want to be like my grandfather and take life by the balls. So that's why I am here, that's why I'm quit and that's why I'm staying quit.

Best,

C

CJ,
Welcome to KTC! Great intro...short, sweet, right on the money. So sorry about your grandfather. Helluva guy, obviously.

Listen, just stay quit with us, everyday. One day at a time, You can and will do it.

Now, I need you to get down to HH bagels and buy me a dozen and FedEx them off to me. Then for lunch, go have a few slices of pizza (any pizza will do...Texas pizza leaves a lot to be desired. Then for dinner, head over to the Palm or maybe even to Peter Luger's. Aah. the Big Apple! I miss it aso much sometimes.

Stay quit.
