Time for a recount on them nicotine candies. How many you got left? How many days until you take your freedom back? How many days will you continue to love the poison more than yourself, wife, kids and family.

You can do it,,, you know How i know? I did!! Me and you are a lot different, but the same. We're both kooks for ever using the poison.

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

So sad.  A "man" with no sack, sucking on a nic tac.

You think your doing yourself a favor...you're not.  Giving it ALL up NOW, is the play here, sport.  We know from experience.

A fall down drunk who chugs vodka out of the bottle doesn't decide they are gonna sober up by finishing off 5 cases of beer first.

If you're truly serious about quitting, eventually you're going to have to rid yourself completely of all forms of nicotine, and its gonna suck.

When that last nic tac is gone you're going to have to make a choice.  You gonna take your little pacifier and finally throw it out, and decide to grow the fuck up?  or are you gonna find more reasons to keep nursing on the teet of nicotine?

If you decide you wanna man up, we are here for you.  You decide you wanna keep nic tac patty whacking, then best of LUCK to you.

You will need it.

Up to you, bub.
Nic tac,,,, I'm thinking we have another kook here.
This is getting good. Guess the bear got his tongue.

Gdubya and the veteran/kook members gave it to you straight. One more thing for you to consider:

The nic bitch is always the boy dog in relationships (i.e. the humper, not the humpee). The only way to save your ass is to cut all ties.

Starving the Bear, we don't starve bears here. We fuckn kill em. Maybe you should go join the Girl Scouts till your ready to man up. Here. We quit dude. If you want to kill the bear and quit, this is the place. The wisdom that folks have shared with you are true words that will lead to freedom. There are 2 people inside you right now. The Free Man - he's the one encouraging you. Telling you that you actually have a set of balls and that you can take control of this addiction. The other person is Addicted Man - that man says you will never be free. Tells you things like wean yourself down. Robs you of hope by reminding you of all your failures in the past. The words of wisdom being given to you here are from Free Men. It's your choice. But I'll tell you something. The taste of freedom is awesome. Addiction never tasted this good. Never will. Never could.

My advice? Reach down and grab your balls and lets get going. Here we quit One Day At A Time. And we Quit Together !!!

And the box says how many there are, bitch.
Oh  one more thing....

This post really reads to me like it was posted out of dip rage. Please tell me if I'm wrong, I'm fine if it's not, I don't mind being wrong. Ask yourself if it is though because if that post was written with some dip rage going on, which would be normal enough, then the candies aren't working.

So does this mean you tossed them?
No. I am going to use them.
While I understand the concept that using them is prolonging the pain a bit, I also see the benefits of being a little more even keeled for a few weeks while adjusting to the psychological aspects, then going full blast at that point.
Anyway, I don't get the hostility towards them. Quitting has to be as painful as possible or it doesn't mean as much?
Ok, hopefully this is the part where my past mistake can be paid forward to YOU. I'm going to bump my intro thread. Read it from the very beginning. I also had the nicotine candies but thankfully I refused to use them.

Some of the badass quitters in YOUR thread also posted in MY Intro thread (Julud007, Pinched, Derk, Srans, Zam, Ron Cross, et.al) They ALL recommended for me to trash the stash. They also sent me PM's warning me and trying to reach out to me. I was an IDIOT!!! A very fortunate idiot but still an idiot, nonetheless. I deserved every negative comment in my intro. I later went back and thanked the guys for caring enough to chew on my ass.

Dump those nic candies. Destroy them. I will quit with you. Not wanting to toss 160 is the same as not wanting to toss 40, 20, 10, 5, etc. It's in your head.

Oh, btw, is it harder to quit cancer or quit nicotine? Quite a few of us have had cancer scares, and others still have had to face the worst of it.

Listen to these guys. Again, I'm nothing special, but I KNOW you can learn from my mistake if you will merely take a little time to read my intro thread for YOUR benefit.
It would do you well to begin listening. Somewhere in you there is a quitter,, i know it. That's the person I'm trying to reach. I would like to meet this person.

I spoke of your comment of 160 lozenges because i see where i use to be. I remember shaking that can to see how much was left. I knew how much was left by just the feel. How Sad...

It wasn't long ago i wondered if another delivery method would work. I was willing to try anything. Thank God i found this site and learned the truth. You can do this,,, you just don't know it. Start reading and listening. Lot of quit going on here. I love my new life. What do you say you take yours back? Stop believing the lies.
I knew exactly what you meant Srans, haven't we all been there? Wondering how much is left in the can, wondering if we can just dole it out a bit to make it last a little longer. Wondering if the secret stash can is still in the truck console to make that long road trip or not wanting to rely on the other one thats still in your golf bag from last year since it's bound to be sand by now.

Isn't counting out 160 candies, or reading the count on the box, the same thing? FIguring out how many per day you can use so it's how many days left till you have to quit. Lets see if I had 160 candies,  limited my use to only 4/day (you'll remember in my intro thread I was that guy with a can of Cope too which meant I never had to try quitting because I was always in control of it). That'd be 40 days the candies could last me! So instead of being 58 days into the healing process, I'd be back on the can for only 2 weeks or so after the candies ran out.

Starving, I can understand not wanting to face up to all the quit symptoms at once. At day 58 I'm still using fake dip, probably more than I ever did the real shit. Because I'm not yet ready to deal with the oral/physical issues. That's fine though you won't be all healed at once. But deal with the nic addiction first! I still can hardly think of myself as an addict, but I do promise if you deal with that issue first, the rest of the psychological issues  such will be easier to deal with. Tackle the biggest one first  the rest will seem easy by comparison.

This is a NO NICOTINE site.  No exceptions, no excuses, no bullshit.  This site is for bad ass quitters.  If you want to eat nicotine candy, then get lost.  But if you want to get in the ring and go toe to toe with the Nic Bitch and earn your freedom one day at a time, then flush your stupid fucking nicotine candy, sack up and join us.

Nobody is going to do this for you.  YOU HAVE TO DECIDE TO BE FREE.  I can't wait to be quit with you.  But you have to take the first step.
I was wondering when someone would say that.

You can't play with us with nicotine in your system.....

I do agree that Srans is a kook...I mean he wouldn't let me dip at all when I quit and he held me accountable for my own word. Now he has pretty much ruined dipping for me as I seldom even think about it now and I have an extra $5 each day that I don't know what to do with... :o
FWIW....

I don't agree with STB's choice by any stretch. Nor does any active member of KTC. However, posting in the intro thread while using any form of NRT is allowed. I would encourage STB to continue the discourse in this thread. I would also encourage each and every quitter here to present the case on why he is wrong in his approach.

This is probably one of the hardest things you will ever do in your life. Nicotine is wicked addictive. Those of us that have reached out to you are quit and very passionate about being quit. Very. The statistics on being successful are discouraging. 100% of the people that have responded to you are quit. Including that kook Srans (hahaha). There is a reason we are in the 100% club - because we bought into the ktc plan and system. We quit cold turkey. We post our promise daily and we stick to our word. We pay it backward and forward. It is the only thing that we know that works. And it does work.

I really hope that you join us. The first days suck. Badly. But not as badly as the consequences of cancer. I'm not trying to be an alarmist or a kook (like Srans hahaha) I just really want to make sure that you understand that we are your friends, and we have an obligation to be very tough when you are fighting for your life. And that is what you are doing. Fight the fight in a way that you will win. Our system works!

No, its not about making your quit as painful as possible. Its about how stupid it is to try to quit nicotine by sucking nicotine lozenges. This only makes sense in the mind of an addict.

There are no short cuts, my friend.

At some point you're going to go thru the "suck" just like the rest of us. However, it sounds like you are gonna keep obeying that "addiction voice" in your head and drag it out for a few weeks first... Your addiction is gonna tell your mind anything it has to, to continue getting fed. Right now it is convincing you that nicotine lozenges are the best way to quit. Yes, I know that voice.

Question for you: Do you think you know the best way to quit nicotine (having never done so successfully, obviously) - or do you think several thousand successful quitters know the best way?
