Thanks guys.  Yeah I'm doing this primarily for me.  No nic substitutes other than pumpkin seeds and Hooch herbal chew.  Looking forward to getting to know everybody here.
No luck. I agree. If you are doing this for yourself, then you have a much better chance of success. Others can help and support, but you have to be committed 100%. It's that simple. If there is 1% non-committ, nic will find it. You can do this.
Day 7 is already a huge accomplishment. You made the right decision. Now it's time to dig in for the long haul. Post roll early every day, repeat the next and move forward. Your Day 7 will soon be Day 50.

Send me a PM, if you need a number.

Former can-a-day Skoal Straight user.  I had been a user for 15 years up until 5/31/11.  My boys (aged 3  4) thought that my spitter was a bottle of soda.  Had to quit before they figured out the truth.  Sick of planning my day around my next chew, sick of staying up an hour or two later so I can have one last chew for the day.

I attempted quitting many times.  I had a particularly good failed attempt in the fall of '09 where I carried Chantix around in my bag for about 90 days.  That shit has some serious side effects that I wanted nothing to do with.  So I told myself that if I wanted a chew, I'd have to take Chantix first.  This worked surprisingly well until I had a nasty argument with the wife.  Sad thing is that I didn't even really want to chew, I was just pissed and it was something that used to be familiar.  I think what I was missing from that failed attempt was a proper support outlet.  If I had arranged a place like KTC I probably wouldn't have bought a can that day and would be quit for almost two years.  Live and learn, I got to day 90 without support so I can quit for good with help from KTC.  Today is day 5, I will not put that shit in my mouth today.

It is my pleasure to quit with you.
Awesome and welcome to the site! Like others told me 26 days ago, post roll, stick to your word and quit for today. Worry about tomorrow then!

I would say good luck, but there is no luck involved...so instead I'll say maintain that resolve! Keep making good choices! The sooner you admit your addiction to yourself, the sooner you can defeat it!

Proud to be quit with you!
