I know you know this Bigtrip, but just to make sure...

Copenhagen is not a habit. Copenhagen is your chosen delivery mechanism for the drug you are addicted to, nicotine. This addiction will never be "broken". You will never be cured. But keep your chin up, you can control your addiction and live a wonderful life as a free man. The greater distance you put between yourself and nicotine, the easier it is to stay nic free. The beginnning is brutal as are some of the "funks" that come later. Just set your mind in stone. Ban the shit from your body. Commit to staying nic free one day at a time. Forever will get here before you know it. Never again. Not once.

Welcome to the club of freedom!

Post roll, sir. That is the cornerstone of how this works. Accountability is the key.

Then read back through your intro and change it to past tense, because you don't do that stuff anymore.

Getting your mindset right is the main objective, and that's what I'm pointing out above. Hit me up if you need anything.

Post roll, make the promise to all of us you will be nic free for one day. If that is too much take it minute by minute. Welcome to the Jackwagons. There is plenty to read on here as well as plenty of vets to give advice. It really is possible! I had the same Cope habit you had, day 17 for me, it does get easier.

It's time to quit! After 30+ years of having a pinch between my check and gum at All times, I have determined it is time for me to quit my addiction, Copenhagen. I am committed to living tobacco free! No one thinks I can except myself, therefore it's a must! Today has been BRutal without a dip which marks the first day for me in a very, very longtime. If I am not eating, I am dipping. That's a tough habit to break! Your stories have inspired me and I will do this!
Welcome. First thing you need to do is post roll. That's the backbone of this site. Go to the welcome center (salmon Colorado tab) top left of the page and it will explain how to do it. By posting roll every morning you are promising, to yourself and all the brothers and sisters on this site, that you will not use nic for the day. Once you keep your promise for the day, wake up the next day and do it again and again and again and again...

Sounds simple but I'm sure you know it wont be...at first. Personally I had a hell of a time for the first couple months, but I stuck with it and 134 days later I literally feel like a new man, a better man.

Advice...stay active. Both physically and mentally. Physically by exercising and not just sitting around dwelling on "quitting". Mentally by staying active on this site, reading everyones stories, get #'s for support, asking questions, etc. Besides that though try to educate yourself on nicotine addiction as much as possible. That helped me greatly. Getting to know your enemy helps you fight it. Skoal Master, a long time vet on this site recommended the book "Easy way to stop smoking" by Alan Carr. Even though it deals with quitting cigarettes the book revolves around nicotine and the tricks it plays to keep us addicted. This book helped me greatly.

Well...Id wish you luck but luck isn't what you need. Big balls and a never say die attitude is. Pm me if you ever need anything.
