"poof" is what people write when they have erased something that was previously posted. You can't delete the post altogether once it's posted but you can click on edit and erase what you've previously wrote. You can actually write whatever you want, like "ooops", or "shitballs", but poof is what has stuck for some reason.

Thank you guys for all your replies. I don't think I will go back to dip if I get a clean bill of health because for one, before I decided to quit, I had to assure my mom that it was a really low chance that it was cancer, and that even now I still know that I am still probably cancer free im still thinking that I made the right choice to quit early than say "I'll quit tomorrow" because tomorrow never comes. After reading posts on KTC and thinking more about me, I thought I really loved dip, but I just loved the Nicotine and just dipped to get my fix. I Cant be sure what the future brings, but you can bet your ass i'm going to try to shape it for the best.

Day 4
Remember Danny, it wasn't love. Love is unconditional with mutual benefit. This problem we all have is addiction, and the condition is you receive momentary relief in exchange for giving up your freedom and choice.

Good job for taking your choice out of the nic bitch's hands and stay quit with all of us in October.

Danny to cut through all the tape, if you want this bad enough you will defeat it! That's it in a nutshell but saying that, it's not easy and you need all the support you can get! Swap numbers and become active as you can. Engage in conversations in your group and remember the only dumb question is the one you don't ask! Quit on!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Hey Danny, welcome to KTC. That's awesome you took the leap to quit. You won't regret it. Post every day and reach out to your fellow quitters. As a young guy, it can be really difficult to quit because it's so easy to rationalize with yourself that you can always quit somewhere down the road. I know I did when I was your age. Read this post that was written by an older quitter to his younger self. Hopefully you take it to heart. Quit with you!

Danny, my brother, it doesn't matter if you've been dipping for a year or 40, you CAN quit. Realize that when the results come back in your favor, a huge weight will be lifted from your shoulders. You will feel a rush that will almost instantly try and wipe away the negative feelings you have. That rush will be accompanied by voices in your head telling you that it is now OK to dip. The coast is clear brother, you don't need some internet crap, you're only 19. Those guys are old fuckers. The voices will tell you these things...at least they said similar things to me for about twenty something years, minus the internet, lol. If I could go back to 19 I would buckle into this place and hold on. I'd invest the 5-10 bucks a day that I spent on dip in something and rail against tobacco at every turn. Don't ruin your chance, Danny. Stick around and Quit.

Welcome to KTC Danny. Listen to what Rawls is saying about the scare. If you are only doing this because you're scared of what the doctor might say, then you get a clean bill of health, the nicotine is going to come creeping back at you, dirtier than ever. If you're doing this to rid yourself of slavery to nicotine that leads to rotted teeth, gum disease, cancer, etc., then you can win this battle today, regardless of what the doc says.

Glad you're here and it looks like you're starting to get involved in our group, which I fully support. Keep it up, it's paid dividends for me already and I'm only a few days ahead of you. If you need anything reach out. See you on roll tomorrow, and I quit with you today.

Dang Danny.
Quitting on a scare.
If Doc says your good .... Are you gonna Dip on!

What if he said... Test results show you can never have lip cancer.
Are You gonna go buy a can that is just a lie?
NICOTINE is a stimulator that never delivers and is jacking with your reality.

You... Me ... We're just self medicating.
That my brother is weak... And not good.

Its like watering the sidewalk!!.

Total waist of time and money.

Go live life healthy..... You deserve it!

I quit with you today.

Hello, My name is Danny and I have dipped for a year and quit the day my Dentist said he found the biggest patch of Leukoplakia on the bottom left side of my cheek that he had ever seen. That was 3 days ago. I am 19 and I have to go back to my Dentist to see if the Leukoplakia on my cheek recedes or i need to go to a Oral Surgeon for a Biopsy just to be sure that it isn't cancerous. It probably isn't but just the fact that I might need a biopsy at 19 for cancer is enough for me to quit. I have been able to fight the dip dreams, the headaches, and the cravings, but what has been hitting me hard is the depression. I feel like a HUGE chunk is being ripped out of me and I will never be able to replace it. I just feel so down the past 3 days and the only thing that will lift my sadness is going out to but a tin. Anyone else feel this way?
