"Fighting the Fight" against nicotine involves being completely nicotine free and manning up to the full fledged addiction. It's time you look yourself in the mirror and detach from the LIES of addiction. Dipping didn't solve any problems for you. 1 problem + nicotine = 2 problems. How can a poisonous insecticide from a weed help with coping with stress or enhance any experiences? Did the poison you stuffed in your face make Disney a more magical experience for you, or was it better because you weren't experiencing withdrawals? You need to think long and hard whether or not you think you have the fortitude to curb this addiction. Personally- I think you have it in you.

Here at KTC we post roll every single day, which is our promise to ourselves and our Quit brothers that we won't use nicotine at all in that 24 hour period. No matter what. If life throws some BS at you and it gets tough? Guess what. No nicotine. We do it every single day. Post roll every damn day (EDD). And we don't try. We don't hope. WE QUIT. Be confident you will never succumb to the Nic Bitch again, yet remain humble that you are an addict and one dip, puff, lick, etc. of nicotine will result in full relapse. Never again for any reason (NAFAR). 1 dip is too much and 1,000,000 never enough, right?

It's that serious, dude. KTC will save your life if you embrace it. Welcome aboard

Welcome Jay-

I too had a terribly embarrassing moment at Disney. Didn't realize they didn't sell dip on site. Had no vehicle as we flew in, bused to the Disney resort ran out of dip and no way to get it. Paid the concierge $50 to buy me 2 cans of grizzly when he got off work. Man is that addiction. Any way that was in the past and I'm now 268 days free after 25 years of dipping. You're off to a great start but as pab says no chantix here just cold turkey. If all of us can do it you can too.

Mark

Hello fellow quitters

Jay from WV chiming in...42 yrs old, probably chewing for about 27 of them.

Im a lurker and have yet to join in on discussions. No reason really, im pretty forgetful and lazy.

Anyways, Im on Day 40 of my quit. 40 days and 40 nights of being faithful. How am I doing it? I resorted to using Chantix. I REALLY admire you all who went cold turkey!!!! You all have way more willpower and fortitude than Ill ever know. I tried about 1/2 a million times and was 100% unsuccessful. I tried patches. Nope. Gum. Nope. Nothing worked for me. I hated chewing but feel like I lost a best friend if that makes sense. Its disgusting. Hated swallowing it as I was too ashamed of my habit to advertise I was doing it by spitting. Hid it from my kids, coworkers, wife, and best friends. Hated it. But it always brought me calmness and satisfaction, especially after a meal. I have stopped drinking beer totally too...dont want any triggers. I dont miss my high dollar German imports as much as I do my Cope LC. Chantix had made it easy....lots of reports about horrible side effects. But I took the risk in them to quit being a nic bitch. I've too had some pretty funky dreams and the really bad gas others report. But the methane and embarrassment is worth it. I realized it was time to quit when I was looking for hiding spots for my cans in the car when we go to Disney. I realized I was nic's bitch then.

Good to be here and glad I found a support site for chewers. Everything is geared for smokers.
