mountainman, I am actually excited for you in a way. I remember one day I was honest enough with myself that "one last can" was a bullshit lie. It was a BS justification for giving in to nicotine. That realization was a big turning point for me.

The next days will be a bitch, but you will get through it, because you will keep your word to the people who have your back.

You can do this, and this site and the people can help. Post roll each day, commit to your quit each day.

Way to go. Post roll, and do whatever you can to become a part of the community. That is the key . . . making the group a real thing, which it is. Try to focus on just "one day at a time." Don't think about the long-term. Just today.

Good to see you in the hood mountainman. Here's what I can tell ya. This ain't gunna be fun. But it's the best possible thing for you. Stick to the plan and have an outreach system, and you'll make it.

First up, visit the Welcome Center at the top left of the page. This will give you all of the information you could need about KTC. What we're about, what we do, why we do it, and how it works.

Next, I see that you've already posted up in June 2012 which is fuckin awesome! Today was day 1, now you know the drill. Wake up tomorrow, and REPEAT! We do a day at a time my friend.

Visit the KTC Live Chatroom when you get a chance. Re-register and hop on in there sometime. There's usually always a couple quit brothers in there willing to talk you down or hear whatever rant you may have.

To succeed here, I suggest you do a few things: Visit chat like I said. Establish bonds with the people you will talk to, the quitters in your group, anyone who you can get in contact with. Exchange numbers with them. This will help you to keep your accountability. They will also be very handy in your QUIT PLAN - formulate it. What will you do when that next huge craving hits? You must do everything in your power to avoid caving- figure out what that needs to be. Next, read, read, read. The more you read, the stronger your quit will become.

If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to PM me or any of the other quitters you see bouncin around. We're a stern bunch but we're glad to lend a helpin hand, mountainman.

I found this web site this early morning(or late night-west coast) and want to quit. I started chewing 15 years age to stop smoking, not a good choice. I chewed for 4 years and them stopped for 9 years. Started back 2 years ago thinking 1 can wouldnt hurt. But I was quite wrong.
