There is no luck. You don't need luck. If you want to quit then do it; success is entirely up to you and your actions.
Quitting is not easy and while it does get easier with time (200+ days later in my case) it is a constant battle. So, instead of luck learn about, and gather, a few tools to keep with you at all times:
1) Your word - this is the strongest tool of all. Post early - keep your word today
2) Get numbers - send texts just for the hell of it. Ask how they are doing. Get to know these people that way when a crisis happens (and it will) they are not strangers and reaching out is easier to do. Send a PM to someone in your group, a vet, a random quitter - whatever. Offer your number and I bet you get their back. Check your Inbox (1)
3) READ - nothing kills a crave like reading and Intro or HOF speech. You will realize that we have all been in your situation before and made it through. Sorry, you are not that special after all.
4) Alternatives - when that void between your cheek and gums is getting too much fill it with gum, seeds, hard candy, tooth picks, coffee stirs, tea bags, fake dip, whatever. Keep a supply at work and definitely in your car.
Congrats on taking this first step.
