Vince, are you scared to quit? I was scared to quit, it took me 30 days on a nic patch to grow a set of balls and be a quitter. Best thing I have done in 55 days. So show me I was a pussy for delaying 30 days and quit with me today.

Vince...this is something we do daily. Making an intro post and immediately leaving shows a level of disrespect for this community that you likely will not understand.

When you get your shit together and are serious about helping yourself, feel free to jump in with both feet. Sticking your pinky toe in the pool just pisses a lot of us off.

Vince,
You need to establish a quit plan. If you don't know what that is yet, you need to read our main site. Get involved in your quit group. Make some relationships. Talk to each other (texts, posts, phone, whatever)...There is no middle ground here. Quit and stay quit. That is your only choice, that is your goal, that is what you will accomplish...Plenty of solid quitters here who can help you and teach you...We won't coddle you, we will tell you exactly what we think and what has been proven to work. You need to listen, follow, learn, and eventually lead others through their quit.

Good quitting to you.

Proverbs 18:2

"A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion."

A Quit Plan: Do you have one?

CLOSE THE DOOR. In my opinion, it?s the single most important step in your final quit. There is one moment, THE moment, when you finally let go and surrender to the quit.
After that moment, no temptation will be great enough, no lie persuasive enough to make you commit suicide by using tobacco. SportDad 1/13/05

Vince - whenever I see someone's intro and they dipped for 7 years I think "why didn't I find something like this site when I had dipped for 7 years". I dipped for 22 years. Just think about that - another 15 years of putting dirt in your mouth that consumes your life and will kill you. Use the resources on this site and know from my experience that 7 years can turn into 22 years in a heartbeat.

Post roll every day and I'll quit with you every damn day.
Couple things Vincent.

It is not a habit. Picking your nose is a habit. Adjusting your junk is a habit.

Nicotine is an addiction. An addiction worse than alcohol, heroin, and crack. That's right...you are worse than a $2 crack whore. But...take comfort. You are in good company. Welcome to the freak show.

2nd...progress is not something we accept. Total dominance is the only plan you have. You will own it...or you will die. This is serious business sugar.

Get rid of your self doubt...your self loathing...you are now a nice slaying instrument of pain. Embrace it.

Welcome to the site. Shout if you need anything.
^^^^ what loot said. Nicotine has never done any one of us one bit of good.

I hate nicotine and I hate that I've thrown away so much money and time on this poison, that its made me lie and use deceit, and worry more about how/when I'm going to get my next fix, rather than enjoy life around me.

Get through the fog brother. Fight like hell, but the freedom on the other side is one of the best feelings. PM me if you need anything.

Read everything on KTC! All the knowledge you need is here. The plan works if you work the plan. Post roll, make lots of contacts, and build your accountability. You can do this. PM me if you need a # or anything.

Vince, thank you for the well wishes, but we of the KTC do not need luck. What we need is to post roll and promise each other not to use nicotine today, and only today. I have promised my brothers not to use nicotine today, how about joining me in your September 14 quit group and posting roll? Read the Welcome Center thread, and join us. The road is hard at first, but nothing good come easy!

Day 1
« on: May 27, 2014, 07:25:00 AM »
Hello everyone, I had been chewing for 7 years until Yesterday. I have tried quitting before, but I was unsuccessful due to my lack of self discipline. I am thankful that I found this site because I realize that I am not the only one going through the struggle of trying to end the habit. Good luck to you all, and I plan to make serious progress for myself and my family. Cheers!
