Nice intro here... dude you sound like a winner.

Welcome to the site Rich and congrats on your decision to Quit. There will definitely be some challenges ahead, but from just over two years out, I can tell you that every one of those challenges is something that you can overcome and that it is absolutely worth it.

At KTC, we have a system to maintain accountability, as well as build a strong support network. It's called "Posting Roll" and it's the foundation of the program here. Roll is your daily promise not to use any nicotine product. You make that promise in your quit group as soon as reasonably possible, every single day, then you keep your word. It might sound silly, but knowing that you've made a promise to a bunch of strangers can literally save your quit. It also helps you track your quit, air out concerns, challenges and victories and build a robust support network. Because Roll is foundational to the program here, it's considered the price of entry to utilizing the other resources at this site.

Your group is September 2018, found here: topic/30602339/29/#new. It's September because that's when you'll hit 100 days clean, considered the first major milestone around here. Specific instructions for posting roll can be found on that page.

This site has an essentially infinite amount of information, motivation and resources for your successful quit. If you really want this and are willing to work for it, all you have to do is dive in and pick up the tools that are right here at your disposal.

Let me know if I can help.

Day 2
« on: June 02, 2018, 10:03:00 AM »
Hi all,

I have been dipping for about 6 years. My friend got me into it and at first it was a fun thing to do in social circles. Later on, it was coping mechanism, and from then on a nasty habit.

Today I am stopping not just dip but all nicotine use. I can't believe how much $ I have wasted over the years on that silly nicorette gum, patch, vape. Its just ridiculous how stupid I was.

Last night was the first time without tobacco. Honestly, it wasn't as bad as I thought.

Stay quit, brothers and sister.
