You have made the best decision of your life. You are taking back your freedom David - that is one helluva accomplishment! Listen to the good folks around here, get involved, sign roll call every day, get to know your quit brothers and sisters, develop your quit plan, talk to people in chat...basically be as ACTIVE here as humanly possible.

Through KTC, you have found the sledgehammer to break your addiction once and for all. It's up to you to pick it up and start swinging.

Again, welcome and great decision, friend! Should you need anything, let us know.

Good Choice David......

I procrastinated for almost 20 years. Stay on this site. Read all the posts. Chat. You alone must decide to quit, but together we can beat this shit.

I have made it a week, and though my body is aching, my resolve is strong. Through this process, you will find strength you never knew you had...

Focus on one day at a time
Barney Fife: The last big buy was my mom's and dad's anniversary present.
Andy Taylor: What'd ya get 'em?
Barney Fife: Septic tank.
Andy Taylor: For their anniversary?
Barney Fife: Yeah, They're awfully hard to buy for. Besides, it was something they could use. They were really thrilled. It had two tons of concrete in it. All steel reinforced.
Andy Taylor: You're a fine son, Barn.
Barney Fife: I try.

Good choice...gum over death!!! Stay on this site and focus on the positives. You are going to beat this. Proving to yourself that YOU are in control of yourself is a great feeling...and greatly outweighs the withdrawals and cravings.

Keep reading this site, post roll call, and start enjoying your new life.

Hi everyone,

I've been procrastinating long enough. Last night I was almost out and stopped at 7-Eleven. Bought two large packs of gum instead.

First morning without a dip in a long long time.

Thanks for being here!

David
