MikeNT, I looked for an found your intro. I see history repeating itself. I'm truly sorry for the loss of yet another baby. You need to find other ways to cope and not go back to the Nic bitch. Your wife and your child need you healthy. Answer the 3 quit questions and go post day 1 in March 2017 and the Phalanx will support you.

You've taken a great step by coming here. What we do works.

I see you've posted roll already and that's huge. Anybody can do anything for just one day. Just focus on quitting for today. Don't get hung up on forever; it's caused many quitters to stumble and cave, going back to nicotine. Just quit for today. We'll worry about tomorrow, tomorrow.

Make sure to connect with quitters from your group. Reach out to them via PM and exchange phone numbers. It sounds strange to make personal connections like that with complete strangers on the internet, but trust me, it's great to have someone who knows what you're going through that you can reach out to when quitting gets tough.

I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your child, but I also rejoice in the fact that you have a healthy baby boy! Many here have been through some serious shit that either caused them to start dipping, go back to dipping, or cave. Just know that that's not an option anymore, regardless of what happens. You will have good days and bad. It's how you face those from here on out that matters. Once you put your name on the line promising not to use nicotine in any form, all you have to do is honor your word. That's it.

Glad to have you here with us and proud to quit with you.

Looking forward to seeing you on roll today!

Mike, the good news is you are in the right place. Not only do a lot of people here share your same story (30 year dipper, 25 years of it dippin' ninja) and all that goes with it, but we manage to beat that nic bitch addiction one day at a time together. Post roll early every day (WUPP), get some digits from your fellow quitters, read everything on the site you can and plan for success. I quit with you today!
Unlike quitting products, total adherence to a personal commitment to not violate the law of addiction provides a 100% guarantee of success. Although obedience may not always be easy, the law is clear, concise and simple - no nicotine today, not one puff, dip or chew!

Sounds like your head is in the right place Mike. Welcome aboard. Now you have to gear up for battle. Stick close to this site, get to know your quit group members. Dude I chewed for 20+ years , on and off, mostly ON.

If an old ass like me can do it, you certainly can. Not worried about tomorrow, not worried about yesterday I quit TODAY. And I quit with everyone here who quits today.

As RDB said, post roll call every day. Every Damn Day. You got this!

Have you quit? Dump all your cans in the toilet. Flush the toilet. Rinse the cans. Don't ever buy another can.

We stay quit by posting roll call. Find the Quit Groups section of the forums. Your Quit Group is pre HOF July 2016. July is the date that you will be 100 days quit which is a milestone we celebrate.

There will be directions for posting roll in the thread. It will be a little confusing at first. The only way to screw up roll is to not post roll.

We post roll every single day - weekends, your birthday, Christmas, vacations, the day your second child is born...

We post roll first thing in the morning, as early as we can - Wake Up, Piss, Post.

Posting roll is our promise to our Quit Group not use nicotine in any form for the day. Quit one day at a time. Make the promise every day, before you have the chance to buy anything.

Glad to have you aboard. I quit with you today.

I really need this

My name is Mike. Grizzly Wintergreen long cut WAS my can. I'm almost 26, started chew at 17. Quit on my 22nd birthday and almost made it to 3 years. I picked it up again so I could "cope" with my anxiety after my wife had a miscarriage. I couldn't put it down even after we successfully had a baby boy in January of 2016. I'm ashamed that I dip when I take care of my son, because I know I'm not really taking care of him at all. I have to quit lying and hiding this from my wife. I'm ready to quit this shit. I can't sleep tonight, had to get this off my chest. I have to do this. Thanks.
